West Ham United 2-2 Arsenal: What a typical self-destruction by Arsenal! They did this with MU near the beginning of the season, leading in the first half, only to blow it all away in the 2nd half (although at MU's stomping ground, they lost 2-1). Great comeback by West Ham, they needed the point badly, although it hasn't saved them from relegation yet, hopefully their morale has risen. Arsenal have taken the 3rd spot in the table, with a game in hand! If they had won the game, they could've been potentially on-par with Chelsea at the top of the table. But since htey only managed a draw, a victory next game would put them on par with MU for 2nd place.
Manchester City 2-2 Fulham: Great showing by Fulham! Manchester City still have a game in hand though, with the possibility of upstaging Tottenham or Arsenal next week (depending on who wins the Arsenal-Tottenham clash at the Emirates Stadium). Fulham's draw has moved them up to 13th in the table, at this pace they'll probably stay safe of the relegation zone.
Liverpool 2-0 Manchester United: Great game by Liverpool! They have managed not only to salvage their title hopes and silence their critics (at least momentarily), but they have also upstaged MU's lead in the table! Rafael Benitez can now heave a sigh of relief, and continue working his team up to make their chances of finishing in the top four, or even winning the PL, who knows? For MU, this was probably just a bump in their road, they'll probably pick themselves up and (after an unusual Chelsea loss) take back the top spot...
Bolton 3-2 Everton: Great game by Bolton! They have managed to capitalize on Everton's recent poor form. As a result, Bolton now occupy the 12th spot in the table, while Everton are sinking lower and lower, ATM lagging in 14th place... They'll desperately need to improve their form next game, when they host Aston Villa...

A full set of unbelievable results, today! Truly this is set to be a Prem to remember!
City should've beaten Fulham and Arsenal should have hammered the Hammers, yet we get 2-2 draws.
A full strength Man U lose to a weakened Liverpool, who are still minus Gerrard! Everton, normally a challenger for the top 6, lose to Bolton who, well, aren't!
I'd not have predicted any of these at all. Long may that continue!

Given their form, I was actually expecting Manchester City to either draw or lose (with a draw being my primary guess). I fully expected Everton to lose, given their current form (which honestly, is pretty ugly). But yes, I expected MU to draw with Liverpool, and I expected Arsenal to beat West Ham by about 3 goals.

Torres is more important than Gerrard. They do have midfielders to replace Gerrard, but they've got no one nearly as dangerous as Torres. Benayoun, the guy they put in Gerrard's role, was one of the best players on the field together with Torres.
Besides that, the difference between the teams was a moment of poor concentration/positioning from United resulting in the break away for Torres where he scored 1-0. United didn't manage to rise from that. As usual in these kinds of games. Previous form doesn't matter that much in games like these. And I do believe this will help in the upcoming games.
And Pool needs a decent replacement for Torres. Neither Voronin or Kuyt gives them anywere near the edge they need up front, leaving them half a team when Torres is gone.

Manchester United 2-0 Blackburn: Another win for MU, with Berbatov shining! Despite not having Rio Ferdinand, MU have earned yet another victory.
Sunderland 2-2 West Ham: Good game by West Ham! They were leading 0-2 at one point, leading 1-2 at half-time, against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light! This is a notable achievement for them, they might bounce back...
Stoke 2-2 Wolverhampton: Good effort by Wolverhampton. It was a tight game, with both teams getting a point out of it. This is good for Wolverhampton, who need more points to stay safe of the relegation zone. This is also a setback for Stoke, who would've had the opportunity of leapfrogging Liverpool in the PL table had they won...
Portsmouth 4-0 Wigan: What a comeback by Portsmouth! Incredible bounce-back after such a bad start (having lost the first 7 games in a row!), they creamed a mid-table team! This could be a turning point, but only time will tell...
Fulham 3-1 Liverpool: Just when things were starting to look bright again for Liverpool, they are defeated by: not Chelsea, nor Arsenal, not even Stoke, but FULHAM! Great game by Fulham, they really put their all into it! As for Liverpool, they really need to act soon (or perhaps Gerrard needs to "act" soon), or they'll end the season as the laughingstock.
Everton 1-1 Aston Villa: Good game by Everton, this could be the start of a return to good form! At this stage (for them, anyway) one point is better than none! And Aston Villa have missed an opportunity to take the #4 spot, but they can still get it next game, if they win (and Man City lose).
Burnley 2-0 Hull: Not a good game by Hull, they must be pretty upset at ol' Mr. Brown. They still lag in the relegation zone, and being a game ahead of West Ham and Portsmouth, are potentially at the bottom of the table. good game by Burnley though, they have jumped to 10th place.
Bolton 0-4 Chelsea: Awesome game by Chelsea! 4 goals, and away on top of it! That speaks for itself, they have more than earned the top spot! Bolton didn't play all that bad, it's just that Chelsea were too hot! We'll see how things pan out...

Birmingham 0-0 Manchester City: Not such a good game by Man City, only managing a draw against Birmingham! They're lucky that the Goal Keeper was having a good game, managing to stop a Penalty Kick. Birmingham were in a delicate situation though, and they really needed that point to avoid relegation danger.

Oh, WH will get their butts kicked again, I have no doubt. We just have no form at all, this season. It takes a really special kind of bad to go two nil up, then struggle to a draw.
As for Tottenham - of course they aren't as good as Arsenal. They have one immense advantage right now, and that's Harry Redknapp. Without him, they'd be nowhere, as usual. WITH him, they are a top four contender, especially if Pool keep on as they are. Redknapp specialises in making any team he manages punch far above their own weight.

WH almost got 3 points away, Will be tough against Villa at mid week. Hope Zola let A Diamanti play more time instead of G Franco IMO. What do you think Ek?
And for R Keane should shut up for a while to concentrate on the team? (I have to admit I'm a gooner )

I think WH are about due to be relegated again, Jacky, honestly. Happens to us every few seasons. Traditionally, WH are the ultimate yo-yo team - too good to be in the second flight, but never quite good enough to be in the top. On this kind of form, beating a rampant Aston Villa is a nice dream, but that's all.
Villa are real contenders for a top six place this season. WH are almost certain bottom six...

First a draw with Arsenal, then a draw (ALMOST victory) with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, and now this... I believe this is the start of a turning point for them! The same cannot be said of Aston Villa, who missed out on an opportunity to seize the 4th spot. West Ham are now two places clear of the relegation zone, even if Blackburn win their next match (since they have a game in hand over the other bottom 5) West Ham will still be one place clear of the relegation zone. Aston Villa Now occupy the 7th spot, just behind Liverpool on goal difference.

After the draw from Manchester City. I thought It was quite clear now there was a three horses race for the title. And Livepool, aston villa, Hotspurs and Manchester Cityl will fight for the fourth place. Looking forward tonights' big game.

Wolverhampton 1-4 Arsenal: Well, well, well, the Gunners strike again! It was incredible! They should've won like 0-8 or something, but a lot of their shots were unlucky misses! Wolverhampton are lucky to have made it only losing 4 goals, while managing to score one of their own! Arsenal are in amazing form, who knows, they could (with a LOT of luck) win the EPL!
Tottenham 2-0 Sunderland: Well, congrats to Redknapp for getting his men back together again! I believe this also may be the signs of poor form by Sunderland: a loss against Birmingham, a draw (almost loss) against West Ham, now this... Perhaps they are on their way back down the mid-lower table. We'll see what happens to them when they host Arsenal in about 2 weeks.
Manchester City 3-3 Burnley: Amazing game by Burnley! They played very well, almost as good as when they beat ManU! Man City haven't been doing too well recently, a draw with Fulham, followed by a goal-less draw against Birmingham, and now this draw... It'll be interesting to see them play Liverpool at Anfield.
Blackburn 3-1 Portsmouth: And Portsmouth once again show why they are at the bottom of the table, they just aren't together! If they were against a stronger team today, they would've lost by about 7 goals! They need to get their act together, even if that means firing some people. Blackburn played okay, well enough to beat Portsmouth anyway...
Aston Villa 5-1 Bolton: Wow, great game by Villa! Bagging 5 goals while letting only 1 past them, that's a 4-goal advantage win, something Chelsea pulled off when they played them. Bolton need to pick up a bit, or get dragged down the table.

Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United: A very unique game! Dominated by MU, but Terry firing in the lone goal for Chelsea! Great job by the hosts, they're now 5 points clear of Arsenal and MU! And with MU having not gained any points, Arsenal are 2nd on goal difference, but with a game in hand! Should they (Arsenal) pull off a win at the Stadium of light, they'll be 2nd 3 points clear of MU, and only 2 behind Chelsea! I agree with Carlo Ancelotti: Arsenal are their biggest threat to the title, for now anyway. MU have a habit of picking themselves up towards the end, while their rivals start suddenly losing key games...
Wigan 1-1 Fulham: Close game, very close game. Both teams stay mid-table as a result. Wigan need to pick up some form, they look as if though they might be running low on steam.
West Ham 1-2 Everton: And the Hammers lose at home to Everton. Sad day for the Green Street Footballers, but a good day for Everton fans. This could be a sign that Everton are picking themselves up after a less-than-impressive run their past few games. And for West Ham, this loss means that they are back in the bottom 3. Perhaps they'll do better next week's Saturday, when they take on Hull.
Hull 2-1 Stoke: Nice going by Hull! They have managed to win a game against a top ten team! They are now just clear of the relegation zone, while Stoke remain in 9th place.
