I wonder why movies play so late in Europe and other Countries from Hollywood. Like ‘Lady in the Water’ it started showing here in the States today, but it will not be playing in like Australia until September.

I saw the punisher a few days ago, really liked it, so if you like action movies, this one is very good :-). also saw scar or so a week ago, it's a horror movie, but it is a really really bad one. the story was very good, but the acting was just plain terrible.

Casanova isn't too bad of a film, Kylia. Decently written, I thought. I went and saw "Lady In The Water" today. Kind of... eh to me. Not Shyamalan's best work by any stretch, but not horrible either. Good concept, some good scenes, but with a recycled theme and some cluttered and disjointed execution. Rather a shame, honestly, given the great stuff Shyamalan has done in the past.

given the great stuff Shyamalan has done in the past. I stopped giving him any credit after the Village and decided that Sixth Sense was merely a fluke.

I enjoyed Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Signs was decent. Village was a mess, though, I agree.
Had Village been all... well, everyone has a bad film. But Lady moves it beyond a blip and into a trend. I'm going to be rather more wary from here on out...

Yeah, I was very dissappointed after the Village and Signs, in The Village, the plot was given away too soon, after you saw the 'monster' there was no use in continuing the film. And Signs was weak too, lucky there was Mel Gibson and Jacquin Phoenix to keep it standing, but Mr. N. Shamalayan should better come up with a new decent movie or he will be history soon! Allthough 6th Sense was very good ;D

Unbreakable was meh. Signs had the most stupid aliens to ever grace the silver screen. Sixth Sense is the only truly good movie Shamalyan has ever done.

I didn't mean that. I just say that if *I* were in charge of conquering an alien world, I'd first check if that strange substance covering 3/4 of the world isn't clorhidric acid.
But that's just me.

I really like Unbreakable but I can only watch it so long without sniffling. [Sad or what] Sixth Sense and the Village are okay, Signs is Mel Gibsontastic ie rubbish.

I thought "Lady " was pretty good , if you can suspend your disbelief and see it as a fairy tale.

After this long, we finally got to go see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Thought it was really good and I loved the ending.

It is a cliffhanger, Jags, and I'm with you. It makes me want to see the next one. It was a great way to end it though.

I really liked ‘Unbreakable’. So much so that I got it on DVD. I only liked Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. The rest was just okay. The Village could have been really, really good if it wasn’t a go back and live like the old days kind of movie. If they made the creatures and all real and used shadow and light like Hitchcock did, that movie could have really been something.

same here, Tsel. i feel that i like Unbreakable more than 6th Sense. it has that deeper meaning & beauty to it, which makes it a lot better than horror thriller mystery 6th Sense. as for the rest, too bad M Night Syamalan couldn't keep his creative momentum. he could've been one of the best directors out there. well he is but i know he can do so much better than the later works that he did which weren't so good compared to the two that u mentioned.

Also saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, but I didn't know it was going to be a cliffhanger so I was bothered a bit by the ending. Only for the few moments it took for someone to tell me about the next part. Still a little upset. I mean, what's the big deal about trilogy? Everyone's trying to make them...
Anyway, also saw Nanny McPhee. It was cute. Still love Mary Poppins more, but this one had it's good points and funny points. But I think I just wasn't in the mood for all it's obvious points.
