Some good stuff from Straub, Fille. I think I like the early ones best. I like the way he creates landscapes and settings far more than he does people. (Which aren't bad, mind, just kind of... lifeless.) There's a sense of detail in his work that comes across well. I agree that he seems better with landscapes/settings than people. Lifeless, I wouldn't say to that point though, for my part. He does far less people than sceneries, too. Or at least seems so; but on the other hand, in his various projects listed he seems to have touched to quite a few as well, and in different styles again. I even had the surprise to happen on Rugrats and Spiderman stuff in his children books section... The same happened for me; I had never seen it before today, but the worse is that it's in every single one of his galleries... ;D I guess the thumbnail is not striking enough; it turns out to be a hidden treasure.

Winds of ChangeBigger version hereMedium: Photoshop 7, Painter 7 Awards: Kota Press Award, December 2003 Another painting in the tree series.
An older piece of mine but, still one of my favorites. The image is really a visual metaphore for what happen to person during change in thier lives. This piece is interesting to me since some people don't see the figure right of and its sooo obvious to me...mostly because I painted it, I think

Celestial QueenBigger version hereMedium: Photoshop 7, Painter 7 Awards: Kota Press Gold Award, August 2003; Society of Illustrators Los Angeles 2003 A character from my book project.
This painting took forever! The details in the head piece just don't show up at this size. My girlfriend was the model for this and the pose was inspired by an add I saw awhile back. Most of the designs are original creations using the vector shape tool in Photoshop. A few of the head piece designs were created in Maya, otherwise this half Painter and half Photoshop.

I love Freakmore. I also like Illumination, Flight of the Dying Sun, Protos Revisited, The Creep, and The Last Stop. Thes are all very good. Hey, can we do the series of pictures of Freakmore that you provide the link to? I think they are great. I don't mind doing them if you want.
