Winner: Flix. The picture is actually... this: From Onibasu.com!! "This is a WKG maginfied by 50 times, viewed with a stereo micorscope to show the surface of a WKG: users.chariot.net.au/~dna/images/WKG-X30.jpg " WKG = Water Kefir Grain. It's a type of food.

Funny, I didn't know what it was: so I looked it up just now. I would've awarded HEF with this one for guessing "some type of Mould," but it's up to you who wins. Besides, Flix knows how to post ridiculous difficult pictures. ;D

THD: Yeah, you would have had someone else win wouldn't you? Close call, maybe. Yeast is used to make kefir, and molds and yeasts are both fungi, though two different types. Mold isn't part of kefir, but kefir is definitely a food. Try this one on for size:

THD: Well, Flix's explanation kinda explains it all. It was a tough decision to make: who won? HEF was very very close, though. Flix: yeah , good and right explanation.

Eek, Sonar, that was a mighty difficult one. Flix's pic... Some kind of microscopic view of an animal tissue? A cut of some wire?

@ Flix, SC: Nah, I'm glad you won: as I said earlier, you always seem to post really good pics. I suppose "food" was closer than "some kind of mould" in this case, though they're pretty close... Flix's Pic: Er... Insect foot? Arachnid foot?

Difficult is fun. In this case. ;D My gut feeling wants to say "a mop." Yeah, before seeing the bottom of the pic I had a gut feeling too... But for "toothbrush" or something tooth/mouth. ;D
