A broken CD?

*sighs* Your images are really tricky. I think ... it's a very very magnified shot of trees, fungus, etc. ? Or maybe a shot of a set of houses, trees and fences, etc. through some kinda special viewer.

I'd go for geology - a rock formation/cliff reflecting a rainbow or sundown/sunset through a raincloud or mist of water.

I swear I've seen this before. I'm sure it broken or chiseled metal, but I can't think what the larger object is.

Hmm - electron microscope picures still come in black and white, I believe...
...but it could be an infra-red image, in which case the colors would be grades of temperature...

Heh, tricky is fun. ;D This one is really not what it looks like (to me, a landscape of some sort). And no, I wouldn't have gotten it either. ;D That is a microscopic view of an antibiotic powder, lit with polarized light. This photo was the 7th place winner of the Nikon Small World contest. Hand-E-Food is the closest, I think, with the chiseled metal guess.

Sorry for the delay. I have a lot of trouble finding images.

Finally! ;D
Let's see.. A close-up of a breach in the human skin? A Volcano? ;D I'm guessing it's related to the first one I mention here...

Hmm.. looks more like a close-up of bark or soil. Unless it's diseased skin...

No problem. Some kind of chocolate dessert closeup? ;D

The only thing you're close on is the "close-up".

Close-up of some diseased organ?

A close up of...
...the exit hole of a bullet shot through a sheet of copper or rusty iron? (the surface structure at the break/rupture point does appear metallic to me)

I'm with Glance here appears to be metal where some welded bolt or protuberance has broken off.

LaFille is by far the closest. It is the bottom of a dried pomegranate. Your turn, LaFille!
