mysterd > I ran into my first problem in KoTOR2. I decided to update my game via the normal update system and it downloaded the update, but it never would install it; so I had to manually download and install the 11Mb file. It was no big deal and it was easy to overcome, but I figured you’d like to know about it. Tsel

Only two story text dialog issues, some coding issues that I guess some people had via hardware or maybe a conflict with their computers proprietary software and some hardware issues directly. If you were like me, I bet you never had a problem with the game. I only installed it to see if I actually see anything different in my game play. Sadly, no content updates in this patch, where they open up a lot of the story that was originally intended in the game. Time of release issues; because, Lucas Arts forced Obsidian to block parts of the story off. They also updated a lot of LIP sequences for some reason in the game. I’m usually so busy reading the text I never notice the lip sequences. Tsel

obviously not, mysterd. but it's definitely one of the really good ones in recent memory. tsel, u made me blush! ;D ok, Shan, shoot me. ;D in regards to the patch, it seems that there is no big changes to the game so i guess i don't have to re-play the game just for the patch. *sigh* wish there's something new.

Fergus and company at Obsidian has asked Lucas Arts on several occasions if they could release a content patch to open up a lot of that blocked off storyline in KoTOR2, so far nada. I did notice after I started a new game after the patch there was some new dialog options. Maybe that’s what all that lip sequence updates were for; because, there sure was a ton of them. Tsel

I did notice after I started a new game after the patch there was some new dialog options. Maybe that’s what all that lip sequence updates were for; because, there sure was a ton of them. Tsel There is a team of modders working on UNLOCKING all of the extra dialogue -- if LucasArts fnds out, I'm sure he might send them a "Stop & desist or else off to court we go" message. This is why Bioware is working on their own IP's (Intellectual Properties). They were sick of dealing w/ companies like Hasbro (D&D owners, whom they had run-ins w/ on the making of some of the racier content they had planned for both NWN: Witch's Wake module AND NWN: HOTU) and also SW:KOTOR on wanting to release a SDK (which Lucas Arts was against, yet LucasArts let Raven release a SDK for Jedi Academy). I really hope Obsidian starts working on their own IP. They don't need to deal w/ anyone but themselves.
