Yo, I'm back. Last week I decided to reinstall my computer, only to discover my WinXP disc was apparently defunct. So I had to use my old CPU for awhile, and even went to the public library if I wanted a faster internet connection. Last week, by the way, I got made a moderator at NarutoForums.com - so far it's been a up and down thing, because with so many members (over 33,000 members, mostly kids) it can get very chaotic. Even more chaotic than, yes, the Chaos Cascade. It didn't help matters that I lost internet on this CPU and had to resort to other means to even moderate some of the crazy forums. Right now though everything is back to normal and I can once again be here too. Glad to see everybody's doing well.

WB Phil. Good to have you back We've been pretty active yeah. With you and Shan absent there's been some pretty big shoes to fill postwise and The Cascade has risen as one to complete the daunting task. ;D

Welcome back, Phil. The Cascade isn't quite the same place without you and Shan around. And yeah, our people have done a good job at filling the gap. If the Cascade is anything, it's because of you folks.

Ah, thanks Steve. That means a lot.
I think I even blushed, there.

Welcome back, Phil I was wondering where you'd got to, and assumed college had something to do with it... Wrongly, it seems. Good to see you back And I'm glad your computer is now fixed again

Well, college wasn't the reason I was offline so much, but I did have to work a bit on my portfolio for graduate school anyway, so I guess it's just as well. Though it did get a little annoying what with just having been made moderator and then all of a sudden, I lose internet access for a while. Didn't even get to read chapter 281 of Naruto until today, either. I got the heck spoiled out of me just because I had to moderate the "Naruto News Stand," "Naruto Library" and "Naruto Theories" forums. Anyway, thanks Elliot

Congrats on getting made a Mod at NarutoForums, too... Though with 33,000 people, perhaps commiserations might be more in order... ;D

Working with the other moderators has proved to be a bit of a headache too. Our personalities clash like crazy.

This is one reason I was very careful with the pairs I chose to mod the forums, here Not every pair is made up of friends, but chances are they won't want to kill each other, either A mod war... is good for no-one. (For a while there Steve must have thought his name was 'Sounding Board' ;D)

'Pranksters' huh? I have a few less polite names for anyone who would abuse their position like that, I have to admit...

(For a while there Steve must have thought his name was 'Sounding Board' ;D) Nah. All part of the whole Number Two job, I figure.

They're kids, too. I'm actually the oldest mod there. I guess I shouldn't have expected any less.
My admins are pretty cool, though they like to be mischevious too.
There's also this one s-mod I like, he's pretty cool (reminds me of Steve actually) but he hasn't been around this week (not that I blame him, he's probably frustrated too). The other mods are just... I don't know, I suppose you could say they all have their share of quirks.

[EDIT]
It's a very bizarre experience. It's funny, but George & Alex were nothing compared to some of these guys.

Quirky is one thing. Abuse of mod power is quite another. A major bugbear of mine, as I'm sure you're aware Still, if you are having fun, that's the main thing

When I was introduced to the other mods, they all welcomed me and one guy gave me a list of things to do and things not to do, one of the rules were "only abuse your mod power 5 times a day."
I rolled my eyes at that.
But I suppose on a 33,000 member forum where there are so many kids that can make your blood boil, I guess the mods would have to be a little crazy too. I've had trouble with a few members to the point where I was all for banning them, even though technically they didn't really deserve it.

Things went much better today, by the way. I think they've accepted me as one of them, finally.
