Get it DL and post'em. I've got a bunch of poems too, but mine are more rhyming spoken word. They don't hold the great imagery that yours hold. Tsel

Love
Oh for you my heart so true I give to you though it's not new Bruised and battered it has been But polished now, to a lovely sheen To have an hold it as it's yours Or stamp and throw it out the door I give you now my love so true and hope it can hold me through The times ahead both dark and light And see love triumph through the night Two souls as one we may become And dim the light of morning sun My poem ends now for it's true That my love's so deep for you

DragonLord, I love your poems both of them. I especially like your Love poem and the way you ended it. You are very talented. I hope you will share others that you have written with us. Shan

DragonLord, that is a real compliment coming from Phil since he doesn't care much for poetry. Shan

Didn't your mother ever tell you it's improper to say "I told you so" Shan? And yes I'll come back more often especially if Dragonlord posts any more poems.

For all life and all time, Your love will be mine.
And I will hold you too so that nothing may harm you
For my love is of the deepest ocean Though sometimes it feels like motion
Through wind and rain I'd battle again Just to see your face remain
Just to see you one more time And know your love is true as mine
Against deepest darkness and brightest light I would battle with all my might
I'd be yours and yours alone Before I'd face the night alone
For loves loss is not I grasp A battle I could win at last
Though 20 men could ne'er bring me low You alone could make it so.

Through the fields and throught he snow Follow me, go with the flow
Down to see the oceans edge There to see the isle of dread
Take the boat accross the water Save the journeys lust will falter
Up the beach onto the land Time to see who will stand
To walk accross the land of dread With the armies of the dead
Tis to late to turn back now For somone has sunk our scow
Foot by foot we never falter even though we're in need of water
Join us now if you dare To beard the devil in his lair
The distant yell I can hear Makes me quake and quail with fear
I'll never see my wife again or play with Jonny in his pen
The darkness closes all around me Leave me now before they find thee.

Friendship
One may come and one may go but still they stay and make you glow
In for the best and in for the worst To comfort you when you nearly burst
To love and laugh through your darkest hew To cuddle and hold when you nearly die
These friends around you hold you tight To love and life and all that's right
When all that glitters is not gold Your friends will help you oh so bold
When darkest night comes accross your land Your friends will hold you by your hand
When light and laughter helps you through Your friends will be there sure as you

The Light of Stars - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow The night is come, but not too soon; And sinking silently, All silently, the little moon Drops down behind the sky. There is no light in earth or heaven But the cold light of stars; And the first watch of night is given To the red planet Mars. Is it the tender star of love? The star of love and dreams? O no! from that blue tent above, A hero's armor gleams. And earnest thoughts within me rise, When I behold afar, Suspended in the evening skies, The shield of that red star. O star of strength! I see thee stand And smile upon my pain; Thou beckonest with thy mailed hand, And I am strong again. Within my breast there is no light But the cold light of stars; I give the first watch of the night To the red planet Mars. The star of the unconquered will, He rises in my breast, Serene, and resolute, and still, And calm, and self-possessed. And thou, too, whosoe'er thou art, That readest this brief psalm, As one by one thy hopes depart, Be resolute and calm. O fear not in a world like this, And thou shalt know erelong, Know how sublime a thing it is To suffer and be strong. Enjoy. Shan
