Ok, I admit, I'm soo excited about my first real trip that I had to tell about it I want you guys to tell us where you're off to this summer as well, even if it's just across the street to the parc or to the other side of the world. As for me, I'm going to Spain, Torrevieja for 2 weeks. It will be my first time on a plane and to Spain as well. I saw that this cute town has two salt lakes which are very good for artritis and rheumatic patients. I found another more touristic website about Torrevieja that might tell you more about what's to see there. I'm leaving on the 29th of June, wont come near a computer during my time there and completely relax and shut off the outside world!
So how about you?

I've been to Punta Umbria which is also on the southern coast of Spain, and it was a nice relaxing place. But this summer, I won't be going anywhere. Wel,l maybe I might manage a weekend at Padre Island -- perhaps.

We're going to the snow for a day! (Well, in your Summer, that is.) We're just going up for a day to have some fun. I've only been once before. Taboganing is fun! ;D

My Aunts were in Spain last year... And a warning they gave is that food there is expensive and tends to be heavy! Other than that and the scorching heat, it seems to be a nice place full of beautiful people. I'll stay around here this summer; if trips are to be, it shouldn't be much more than a couple of hours of road away.

Torrevieja - been there - I expect you will like it. In my memory it is one of the less tourism infested places, which is nice. Myself I will board an Air Canada plane on 30 June in the morning and around noon this will hopefully safely touchdown at Pierre Trudeau Airport. Then I'll be unplugged for three weeks... Actually some colleagues have asked me why the heck I booked a flight back

Actually some colleagues have asked me why the heck I booked a flight back We haven't booked our flight back yet ;D Who knows I may stick around there.
@ Fille I'm told not to worry about food or anything, even not cleaning the place when we leave, my bf hired a maid to come the day after we left. ;D And he will take me shopping there as well, so no need to bring too much luggage right?
After the trip to Spain, I'll be visiting Forestbabe in Amsterdam again for a weekend, actually most of the month July is booked for me

Nice temperature. Where I live it is 90-100 degrees (32-37.7C) daily. We had one day in the 80s and everyone commented how nice and cool it was. And I drive a convertible.

31°C is cosy. Much better than the 15°C we have at the moment. Also better than the 42°C we have in Summer.
