I found the tree and the fruit in Murcia, the fruit is bright green, heavy and hard. When I took it from the tree, there was a white substance coming out of the wound, something creamy and it smelled a bit like Aloe Vera. I didn't open it, cuz it was too hard. I looked for a sign to get the name of the tree, but I couldn't find anything.
Does anyone know what it could be?

No idea, sorry... Is it edible? The leaves look a lot like those of my lemon tree.

Someone suggested it could be a pomelo, but the creamy stuff didn't smell citrus like at all, and the shape is round instead of oval like a pomelo looks like.
I have no idea if it's edible, I didn't get the chance to open it. I annoyed my bf enough already by dragging the fruit in my hand during the rest of the day throughout the city of Murcia ;D Before we left the house to go home I threw it away. Such a shame now though, I wish I had opened it.

If it is bound to a certain climatic zone, this could narrow our search ...

It's kinda difficult to start searching if you don't have a name to start with and I'm not really a person who likes to search in the library. I'm a child of my generation, if I can't find it online, I wont look further ;D |

Thx, but the skin of that apple looks smoother then the skin of the one I'm looking for.
Someone suggested it could be an imported tree, since it was the only one I could find.

Murcia always makes me think you went to England. Mercia was a kingdom in England in the Medieval Ages. That's what's a Flora is made for: determing the name  (by following questions about how the plant looks like etc.) |

I had seeds of that last Christmas!  They call those cherimoya sugar-apple, and it apparently tastes heavenly. So far I have 3 baby plants... And cross the fingers so they survive.  There is a website where they have that system that you post about that plant you don't know and you can have it identified, but I can't find the link anymore...  |
