I don't think anyone would be shocked at anything El would do at the zoo.... On his own no. But this picture involves both El and Steve and poor goat

FirstAct? Wow man harsh , What do you play? me , Guild , Jackson, Evh custom, and for acoustic, Larivee , steel string (great guitar, has the acoustic sound of a Taylor for only 700) and then I play a Cordoba Classical, also great sound. oh yeah , I'm a lefty so it's hard to get good guitars , I wouldn't wish that upon any player , I am so jelous of the choices righty's have. Jang is right on with the lefty's thing. You CAN get most big guitars made for lefties...Les Pauls for instance. But greedy, greddy Gibson charges close to 50 bucks more simply to swap the sides for the cutaway. Mays well just by an SG, no pickguard, put the strings on upside down and adjust the pickups if need be. Square away the volume and tone knobs and you should do fine.

I have seen a lefty Sg , like T .Iomi's , 1,200 , steep for me now , though i'm fairly set on axes , it was a bit of a pain when I was younger. Still when I go into a shop , I can maybe play one guitar and that's all they have , usually some cheap crap. No PRS No LP's only puny strats.

PRS would be my dream guitar. Custom 24 to be exact...if you're not familiar, it's DANG expensive. So I wouldn't feel alone. But that's usually the problem with any shop...limited choices. I doubt I'd ever buy a strat--even if I was a lefty. You can even try www.musiciansfriend.com for lefty guitars. You can get some decent Epiphone Pauls for under 1k IIRC. How are your wood-working skills?

BJC , I actually did an apprenticeship for a small now defunct guitar maker in IL, I stayed there for three months and got to build my own guitar. That was like ten years ago so I'm not real sure about my skills now.

Guitar building can be very inexpensive if you like to fit guitars to your liking. And they have some of the best at that website.
