Dragon - never seen it, honestly. I find football hooligans depressing. Yeah, that's the portrayal it gives. The hooligans are all together kinda like a gang, drink together, watch games together, fight rival "gangs" together, etc. But there's so much more to life than being a football hooligan. Yep, that's pretty much the message of the movie.

November 21st, 2009:
Manchester United 3-0 Everton: Once again, Everton have slumped down to a defeat, and Manchester United have done it again! Can Manchester United bounce back up to the top of the table? The most certainly can, provided Chelsea do a lot of slip-ups.
Sunderland 1-0 Arsenal: Arsenal have done it again! No, not a 4-goal victory, but a self-destruction! And against Sunderland! Good job by the men of the Stadium of Light, and good luck to Arsenal with bouncing back next game! As it stands, Arsenal are in 3rd place (3 points behind MU), but with a game in hand. And that game will be played in the Emirates stadium, against Chelsea...
Hull City 3-3 West Ham United: A good game by the men of Green Street! 3-3, quite the scoreline! And with this game, West Ham clinch a vital point to hover above the relegation zone! Albeit Bolton still have a game in hand, which sees West Ham potentially drop back in to the bottom 3...
Chelsea 4-0 Wolverhampton: Chelsea extend their dominance of the PL! And Wolverhampton have lost again... at this rate, they just might take the bottom spot from Portsmouth. And as for Chelsea, we'll see how their form goes when they visit the Emirates Stadium next week.
Burnley 1-1 Aston Villa: good game by Burnley, for managing to hold Aston Villa to a draw! Despite only managing a draw, Aston Vilal have taken a point, which they need in their campaign as they contend for a Champions League slot.
Birmingham 1-0 Fulham: And Birmingham pull off a win! They've been doing pretty badly, so this victory gives them the points they need to pull clear of danger. And Fulham have been slagging off lately, we'll see if they can pick themselves up a bit next game...
Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City: An amazing game! After a goal-less first half, it ended up 2-2. Man City have managed to remain a point clear of Liverpool, with a game to spare. If they win their next game, they will pass Aston Villa for the 5th spot. As for Liverpool, they lie in 7th place, a point behind City and ahead of Sunderland only on Goal Difference. Can they shoot life into their campaign? We'll see...

November 22, 2009:
Stoke City 1-0 Portsmouth: And Portsmouth lose yet another game. They've lost so many games this season, they done almost as bad as Chelsea have done good this season. (Chelsea won 11, lost 2, drew none. Portsmouth won 2, drew one, and lost 10. If that draw were a loss, they'd be the exact opposite of Chelsea)! And Stoke have continued their inspired form, taking the 9th spot just one point behind Sunderland and Liverpool.
Tottenham 9-1 Wigan: WHAT A GAME!!! I couldn't believe it when I saw the news "Tottenham destroys Wigan 9-1," I washed my face and looked again! But lo and behold, it's true. Tottenham have succeeded in pulling off the biggest crush this season! A big hand for Jermaine Defoe, bagging 5 goals into the "onion bag" of Chris Kirkland! Good effort by the whole team, Tottenham were just too good for Wigan today. Why, even the lone goal Wigan scored was scored "Henry style" (bouncing of a guy's arm before getting kicked), but I suspect this only fueled the fury of Redknapp's men. With this victory, Tottenham are cementing the 4th spot, and may even get the 3rd spot if Arsenal do poorly (although I believe this is unlikely). As for Wigan, their defense was miserable, and Tottenham were too hot. Kirkland did his job well, but only a Keeper like Lev Yashin can keep a poorly performing team from losing by so many goals. Wigan need to pick up their form, they are drifting towards the bottom of the table, and they now have the worst goal difference in the PL (-17). of course, Tottenham benefited immensely from the goal haul, they now have the same goal difference as Manchester United (+14).
Bolton 0-2 Blackburn: Another dismaying performance by Bolton, having lost yet another game. And against Blackburn of all teams... Great going by Blackburn, this victory sends them up to 11th place in the table, while Bolton now wade in 18th place (the "top" relegation slot). However, Bolton still have a game in hand, away against Fulham. If they win or manage a draw, they'll be clear of the relegation zone once again.

WH gave it away, the useless wretches! We had a two goal lead at one point! Relegation season? I'm thinking yes... No arguing with Tottenham's emphatic victory, though. Must be the game of the season, so far. Certainly the biggest pasting. I thought I'd misread the scoreline there, too...

Must be the game of the season, so far. Certainly the biggest pasting. I thought I'd misread the scoreline there, too... Oh, I didn't see the WH game. A 2 goal lead, that's not a very good thing to squander... Hopefully they'll do better next game, and the fans can blow enough bubbles to keep the team spirited. FORGOT TO MENTION: Jermaine Defoe is now the EPL 2009-2010 season top scorer, with 11 goals so far! And we're not even a third through this season! If he keeps this pace, he could very well end the season with the Golden Boot.

That'd be cool. Defoe has always shown promise. Hopefully this is the season where it finally clicks for him. Would be perfect timing too, considering the WC is just coming up...

November 25th, 2009:
Fulham 3-0 Blackburn: Another loss for Blackburn, at the hands of Fulham. Blackburn have been slipping into a rather shoddy form of late, they need to pick themselves up. As for Fulham, they did a good job. This win sees them take the 10th slot, just ahead of Burnley.
Hull 3-2 Everton: A good game by Hull, they finally seem to be turning things around! Everton just missed out on a draw or victory; Hull were determined to win, and they did! Great job by Hull, they now occupy the 15th spot, just behind Everton, separated only on goal difference.

November 28 + 29, 2009:
Blackburn 0-0 Stoke: A dismal effort by both teams, ending up in this draw. Stoke are now occupying the 9th spot in the EPL table, while Blackburn lie in 13th place.
Fulham 1-1 Bolton: Bolton remain in the relegation zone as a result of this draw. And as for Fulham, they are in 10th place. Bolton have been sliding to the bottom of the table for some time now: can they turn things around? They sure can, but only time will tell...
Manchester City 1-1 Hull: Impressive effort by Hull, managing a draw in The Stadium of Manchester! Hull have seemingly turned their relegation-threatened season around, they are now in the 15th spot (up from 9th just last month). Manchester City now occupy the 7th spot, but they have a game in hand compared to the top 6 (with the exception of Arsenal, who also have a game in hand). So if they win that game, they'll take the 5th spot.
Portsmouth 1-4 Manchester United: Avram Grant's first game at the helm of Pompey. They started off fairly well, ending the first half level at 1-1. But in the second half, they caved in and let 3 goals fly past them! Including one from an aging Ryan Giggs! Oh well, that's what happens when a bottom-ranked team plays one of the highest ranked teams... We'll see if Grant can make his team rebound, and win their next game. As for MU, they played a good game, totally dominated the 2nd half. We'll see if they can catch Chelsea.
West Ham 5-3 Burnley: Impressive by the men of Green Street, at one point about 70 minutes in they were leading 5-0! But then somehow they let 3 goals past them, I can only imagine how... Perhaps they celebrated their victory prematurely? But what matters to them is that they won: not much else, I suppose. Burnley did well in the last 20 minutes, banging in those 3 goals. West Ham are 17th in the EPL table, while Burnley are 12th now (lost a few places).
Wigan 1-0 Sunderland: Sunderland's sizzling form has been setback temporarily, with this defeat at Wigan. An amazing effort by Wigan, managing to beat this team who were coming off the back of a victory against Arsenal! Sunderland are now in the 8th spot, while Wigan occupy the 14th place in the table.
Aston Villa 1-1 Tottenham: An impressive game by Aston Villa, managing to hold Tottenham to a draw! Especially considering Tottenham's last game, where they pummeled Wigan 9-1! Tottenham are currently 3rd in the EPL table (With Arsenal only a point behind them, plus having a game in hand), while Aston Villa are 6th.
Wolverhampton 0-1 Birmingham: Another loss for Wolverhampton, they had an okay start, but this month they have lost most of their games! Birmingham did okay, but I'm pretty sure almost any team would beat Wolverhampton right now. Wolverhampton now occupy the 19th spot (only 3 points ahead of Portsmouth), while Birmingham are in 11th place between Fulham and Burnley.
Everton 0-2 Liverpool: And Liverpool have managed to beat a lackluster Everton. Everton are going down very fast, they have a lot of injured players. And as for Liverpool: could they be coming back? We'll find out very soon. Everton have drifted down to 16th place (with one point separating them from Hull and West Ham), while Liverpool now occupy the 5th spot (Aston Villa behind them only on goal difference, and Manchester City one point behind with a game in hand).
Arsenal 0-3 Chelsea: And Arsenal self-destruct yet again. Chelsea are making a very firm point this season: they can win! And if things keep up the way they are, they will. Arsenal have some tough times ahead, with van Persie out for the next 5 months or so, Walcott out as well... Chelsea retain the top spot, while Arsenal now occupy the 4th spot (one point behind Tottenham, but with a game in hand).

December 5th, 2009:
Manchester City 2-1 Chelsea: An amazing effort by Man City! To stop Chelsea at this pace, this was no mean feat! Spectacular play by the men of Eastlands, they earned this win! Chelsea didn't even score this game, Adebayor butted the ball into his own goal (but made up for it with a goal against Chelsea). As for Chelsea, we'll soon find out if this is a drop in form, or just a glitch in their system... This win catapults Man City into 6th place, only a single point behind Aston Villa, but with a game in hand: meaning that they are potentially in 4th place, behind Arsenal on goal difference only (yep, they've positionally leapfrogged Tottenham by one point, if that game in hand is a victory).
Wolverhampton 2-1 Bolton: Finally, Wolverhampton win! They've managed to pump some life into their campaign with this win, they sure deserved it! As for Bolton, they've been really sliding down the rankings, only 2 points ahead of Portsmouth. Wolverhampton aren't faring much better positionally, being only a single point ahead of Bolton...
Wigan 2-3 Birmingham: Another victory for Birmingham! They started their campaign dismally, but have picked up quite considerably in their efforts. As for Wigan, they've been slipping just a little bit recently: it could be a sign of loss in form. Birmingham are now in 9th place, just a point ahead of Sunderland. Wigan are in 14th place, behind Burnley on goal difference (thanks to their rout against Tottenham).
West Ham 0-4 Manchester United: Not a very good day for the men of Green Street, losing at home by 4 goals against the Red Devils (while not putting in any of their own). MU were determined to take this one, and they did. MU are still in 2nd place, but now only 2 points behind Chelsea. West Ham are in 17th place (just one position above the relegation zone), but Bolton are potentially ahead of them (since they have a 1-game advantage over WH).
Blackburn 0-0 Liverpool: Another sluggish performance by Liverpool. They had some chances in the first half, but in the second they were clearly outperformed by Blackburn. I wonder what'll happen to Benitez if Liverpool fail to make the top 4: would they let him go? I guess we'll have to wait and see for that one. Liverpool have slipped back down to 7th place, while Blackburn have risen to 12th place.
Aston Villa 3-0 Hull: Great game by Villa! 3 goals is a pretty good sign for them: they're getting quite an impressive momentum. Hull are rebounding from the relegation zone quite well, but they were against a clearly superior team and didn't stand much of a chance. Villa are in 5th place (just one point behind Tottenham), while Hull are in 16th place.
Arsenal 2-0 Stoke: At last, Arsenal win again! About time for the gunners; they so badly needed this, or they could've kissed their hopes of winning the EPL goodbye. Stoke did okay, but were no match for the rejuvenated Arsenal at the Emirates stadium. Arsenal once again occupy the 3rd spot (6 points behind MU, but with a game in hand), while Stoke have to settle for 11th place.
Portsmouth 2-0 Burnley: At last, Portsmouth win! This was Grant's first real chance in the PL, he didn't have much of a chance against MU last week. Hats off to Pompey for breaking their duck, hopefully for them this is the sign of better days to come. As for Burnley, they have been slipping recently: they don't look like the same team that beat MU at the beginning of the season. They need to pick up a bit, or get washed down the bottom. Portsmouth are still at the bottom, but only 2 points behind Bolton. Burnley have dropped down to 13th, ahead of Wigan on goal difference alone.

December 6th, 2009:
Everton 2-2 Tottenham: A most impressive feat by Everton, managing a draw with Tottenham! Everton are finally starting to get better, after having done pretty badly the past several games. As for Tottenham, perhaps they've been slipping a bit: they drew their last game as well as this one, we'll see if they can break this cycle and win their next game. Everton are now in 15th place (ahead of Hull on goal difference, but with a game in hand), while Tottenham are in 4th place.
Fulham 1-0 Sunderland: A lackluster game by Sunderland, falling against Fulham. Fulham have been doing quite well lately, they are serious contenders for a top ten finish, perhaps even top 7 or so. Fulham have climbed up to 8th place (2 points behind Liverpool), while Sunderland are in 10th place (ahead of Stoke on goal difference). Interesting to note, Sunderland are the only team with a goal difference of precisely 0.

Figured Everton would start doing better eventually. They're a better team than their position on the table right now would indicate. They should finish solidly in the top ten if they play to form.
The top three spots are almost certainly going to the usual suspects this year, but I'm loving the fierce battle developing for fourth place. Even third might be in contention, which would be cool. The Prem has needed more actual competition for many years, now - since before it was the Prem at all, in fact. I can't even recall the last time anyone outside of the Big Four won it...

Leeds won in 92 or 93 (when they had Eric Cantona in the team), Blackburn won in 95 (when they had Alan Shearer in the team). That was pretty much it I think.

December 12, 2009:
Stoke 2-2 Wigan: Impressive effort by Wigan, managing to hold Stoke to a draw! Wigan have been rebounding somewhat, they just might make the top 10! And Stoke have been pretty consistent until right now, this is probably just a bump in the road of their campaign. Stoke are now 11th place (behind Sunderland on goal difference alone), while Wigan are 14th.
Birmingham 1-0 West Ham: Another win for Birmingham, and yet another loss for West Ham. Birmingham have been doing extremely well lately, while West Ham have been struggling this season. They need to infuse life into their campaign somehow, just how is up to them. Birmingham are in 8th place, level on points with 7th placed Liverpool, while West Ham have fallen back into the relegation zone, in 18th place. Birmingham now join Sunderland as the only 2 teams with a goal difference of 0.
Bolton 3-3 Manchester City: A most impressive effort by Bolton! Great game, lots of chances. Bolton have finally rebounded somewhat, this could be the sign of a turn-around in their campaign. Man City played okay, but not so well. Bolton occupy the 19th spot, while Man City are in 6th place.
Burnley 1-1 Fulham: Not bad by Burnley, they're starting to kick up their efforts again. Managing to hold Fulham to a draw is pretty good considering their form, perhaps they can go back to the form that enabled them to defeat Manchester United. Fulham performed on a mediocre level, not too bad but not too good. Burnley are in 13th place (ahead of Wigan only on goal difference), while Fulham have slipped to 9th place (Birmingham now a point ahead of them).
Chelsea 3-3 Everton: A magnificent effort by Everton! Managing a draw with Chelsea, who are currently the best team in the EPL, away at Stamford Bridge! They are truly starting to rebound, if they keep it up they can easily finish in the top 10. Chelsea made some errors defensively, but it was up to Everton to capitalize on this, and they did. Chelsea retain the top spot, while Everton are currently 15th place (just one point behind Wigan).
Hull 0-0 Blackburn: A lackluster game by Blackburn, managing only a goal-less draw with a weakened Hull. They may have been playing away, but on current form they should've beaten Hull easily. They let this opportunity slip, and they'll pay for it. Hull occupy the 16th spot, while Blackburn are in 12th place.
Sunderland 1-1 Portsmouth: Another impressive game by Portsmouth, managing a draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. It may not show so well on the table, but it is very probable that Grant's arrival heralds fewer losses for Portsmouth. Sunderland did okay, but they were against a clearly together Portsmouth. Sunderland occupy the 10th spot, while Portsmouth are currently still at the bottom of the table (20th place, 2 points behind Bolton).
Tottenham 0-1 Wolverhampton: One of the biggest upsets of the day, Wolverhampton have stunned Tottenham! How they did it is amazing, considering their positions! It's a phenomenal achievement on the part of Wolverhampton, and a colossal error on Tottenham's part. Perhaps Tottenham have lost some of their momentum, with their 2 games before this one ending in draws. As for Wolverhampton, perhaps they are starting to turn things around. Tottenham now occupy the 5th spot (a point ahead of Man City, with Man City having a game in hand), while Wolverhampton have climbed out of the relegation zone to 17th place (a point behind Everton and Hull).
Manchester United 0-1 Aston Villa: And Manchester United have been beaten at their own stadium! AWESOME achievement on the part of Aston Villa, what a team they have become! And they have proven it with this stunning upset, one of the biggest upsets of the day! With this defeat, MU are still in 2nd place, having failed to capitalize on Chelsea having drawn (and thus having been capable of pulling level with Chelsea on points), while Aston Villa have capitalized on Tottenham's defeat to take the 3rd spot (although Arsenal are only a point behind, with 2 games in hand)!

December 13th, 2009:
Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal: An impressive game by Arsenal, defeating a full-strength Liverpool at Anfield! Liverpool have no excuse for this, they had all their best players (Torres, Gerrard, Benayoun, etc.), while quite a few Arsenal stars were out (van Persie, Eboue, Rosicky, Bendtner, Clichy, Djourou). Liverpool were leading 1-0 at half-time, but then in the 2nd half Arsenal put in 2 goals: well, actually their first one bounced off a Liverpool player's backside into the goal, while the second one was an impressive one by Arshavin. Victory puts the gunners back in 3rd place, potentially level with MU (3 points behind them, but with a game in hand), while defeat means the Reds are in 7th place again (ahead of Birmingham solely on goal difference).

December 15th, 2009:
Manchester United 3-0 Wolverhampton: Another loss for the Wolves, and another win for the Red Devils. This result was to be expected, it's no easy task for a low-ranked team to beat MU at Old Trafford. MU are now level on points with first-placed Chelsea (although Chelsea lead on goal difference, plus having a game in hand), while Wolverhampton are back in the relegation zone in 18th place.
Bolton 3-1 West Ham: And West Ham lose yet another game. The men of Green Street are clearly lacking, it is evident by their recent performances. Bolton did pretty well, although with the way WH were playing, even Portsmouth could've won this game. Bolton have risen to 17th place, while West Ham are now in 19th place.
Birmingham 2-1 Blackburn: Another victory for Birmingham! They've been having quite an impressive streak of victories, no doubt the coach's doing a good job. Blackburn didn't play that badly, they were simply out-played and out-gunned by a well-motivated team. Birmingham have taken the 6th slot, while Blackburn have to settle for 12th.
Sunderland 0-2 Aston Villa: Another grand game by Aston Villa. They have been doing incredibly well, this win coming off the back of an away victory against MU! There was nothing Sunderland could do about this one, they were overwhelmed by a vastly superior team. Sunderland remain in 10th place, while Aston Villa once again take the 3rd slot, albeit most likely temporarily (only 1 point ahead of Arsenal, but Arsenal being 2 games behind).
Note: No more teams have a goal difference of 0.

December 16th, 2009:
Burnley 1-1 Arsenal: And Arsenal slip yet again. Arsenal have a bad habit of slipping just when a victory would mean a really good shot at the title, or 2nd place. Burnley haven't been in good form at all, so Arsenal don't have any excuses. They just couldn't beat a mediocre team, their problem. Arsenal have re-taken the 3rd spot with a game in hand over 4th-placed Aston Villa, while Burnley remain in 13th place.
Chelsea 2-1 Portsmouth: Yet another victory for Chelsea. Great game by Portsmouth, managing to put in a goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Although of course, it was a matter of the bottom vs the top, so Portsmouth didn't have much of a chance... Chelsea remain on top (3 points clear of MU), while Portsmouth stay at the bottom.
Tottenham 3-0 Manchester City: Great game by Tottenham, and yet another bad game by Man City! This was a crucial game, as both teams have a good chance of finishing in the top 4 (well, perhaps now Man City's chances have dwindled somewhat). Man City's defense just couldn't keep up with Tottenham's offense, while their own attacks were repelled by the defense of White Hart lane. Tottenham are in 5th place (2 points behind Aston Villa), while Man City fell to 8th place (just one point behind Liverpool and Birmingham, but with a game in hand).
Liverpool 2-1 Wigan: Somewhat less-than-impressive of Liverpool, winning by only 1 goal against a team that has conceded so many goals this season: but at this stage, any win for Liverpool is an impressive achievement. Wigan put up a bit of a fight, but lacked the "edge" to win this one. Liverpool are in 6th place (ahead of Birmingham on goal difference, and 3 points behind Tottenham), while Wigan are in 14th place.
