One of the major bummers about living in Florida is the hurricane. Yeah - nature - uncivilized, really. You have my sympathy, and my best wishes <knock on wood> It's part of your choice - if it was a choice - of living in the Sunshine State. One could have chosen Califonia (earthquakes) or the central South (tornados) or another coastal state (tsunamis). This nature is everywhere! Move North (Blizzards)... {There is a saying - an ironic, or rather sarcastic, prayer - in Germany : Holy St. Florian, save our home ignite another one. So Cuba got hit with it already? I don't know anyone in Cuba, but they have my sympathy also}

It's headed this way now... and was gathered strength as of 8am, but it still isn't much of a worry. We'll see what they say when the new advisory is given at 11am.

One of the major bummers about living in Florida is the hurricane. I am hoping this one gets lost in the gulf. I really don't want it to come this way. I finally got my place the way I like it and I don't want to have to move because another tree goes through my roof like last time. A tree through your roof, oh that is awful. Hopefully that won't happen again. I also hope you weren't in the house when it happened. Hey, you and Nights take care. I don't want to hear about anything bad happening to you guys. I'll keep you guys in my prayers and hope that you make it through this safely and that your friends and family do also. Please let us know how things go.

We should be safe this time around since by the time in get near Orlando it should be only heavy rain. Though my dog is already to get hyperactive and stuff, he still spooked from the earlier storms so he is hiding under chairs and stuff which is kinda funny... A huge pit/dane mix hiding under a small chair shivering like a leaf. I just hope if it goes dark they have the lights back quick. We need the rain to keep the fires down... So I guess it's a good thing. V, you want my house to blow down? You meanie! Hope you stay safe and dry, Venom and anyone else living in the area.

Poor doggie. Is there any way that you can calm him down? I've got a little Pekingese who is afraid of storms too and she shakes something awful when she sees lightning or hears the thunder. Hopefully rain is all you will get. I just hope it doesn't cause alot of flooding. That can be bad too. Anyway you guys take care and keep in touch so we will know that you are OK.

The storm was a big let down. Hardly any wind and lots of rain. One great thing about the storm it did bring the tempture down.

Glad to hear that it passed well, guys. My noodle doggie is one of those not afaid of storms; the last big one, she didn't even want to come inside. She's even not afraid of vacuum cleaners... But bring in a guitar, though...

Hmmm... noodle; a cute way to say silly. ;D I mostly watch the Canadian news. Isn't that a surprise! Right now there is hurricane Ernesto, ravaging the East coast. Is that the same one as what you were talking about Venny? On the other coast there is Hurricane John. As you can see my geography kinda sucks.
