Ok, people, I want you to tell me storm stories.
Give me your first-hand experiance with some interesting storms.
I'll start with the one that downed my internet recently.
I was walking outside, on my front lawn. The sky was full of pale, yet not-so-dark, clouds that flew low across the heavens. I suspected that a storm would come eventually, perhaps in half an hour.
But the clouds began to stir, and twist, so that I worried that there might be the comming of a tornado. Instead, nevertheless to my surprise, it began to rain from the clouds that looked so empty.
I looked up, then gaps in the many layers of cotton clouds above me lined up, and the sun shone down for a minute. Then, a neighbour greeted me, and I returned his greeting. But when I looked back, the sun was once again gone. The rain then stopped.
The wind was steady, though not so strong, and it seemed already that the storm was passing. Then, without warning, a great bolt of lightning struck somewhere in my back yard. I was standing only on the other side of my house, and so there was no distance in time between the flash and the sound.
So great was its light and rumble that I jumped back, for fear of it, and fell to the ground. When I stood once more, the neighbours from all around exited their houses, wondering what was that loud noise that they had heard only moments ago. It seems that I was the only one that saw it.
Eventually, it began to rain once more. After thinking upon the wonder I had witnessed for a moment, I decided to enter my home.
Fin.
And so, there I discovered that my internet wasn't working. It was probably the thing that got hit by lightning.
