Hello, everyone. Tunguska-Rätsel gelöst ?This German-language article says that Italian scientists believe that they might've solved the riddle of thegreat Tunguska explosion. The scientists argue that the swamp areas absorbed most of the asteroid's energy, and that a piece of it might actually have formed the funnel-like lake of Tscheko (spelling according to the German article). They couldn't drill ddeeply enough to actually find something (in fact, the rest of the asteroid), so they admit that this is currently their biggest problem, and they are seeking sponsors who might give them money for deeper drilling into the lake. I was looking for an English site about this Tunguska Explosion for the ones who don't know what's it all about. Like me, I admit I didn't know what this was. Here's a Wiki text about the explosion. So far I've haven't found an English page about what Alrik said. If people can translate the German page, please do so, I think it's a very interesting item to talk about. Thanks Alrik for sharing.

That's cool, thanks Alrik and Ky. I remember having known about the event but I didn't know it by its name; it took the wiki to make the link. And they talk about what Alrik said in that same article here. Following the references used, here is an English article about this hypothesis.
