then i wasn't on the wrong track when i read them. ;D i know exactly what you mean about government taking down building just to put up condos and things that they can get more money out of. i think it is a real shame. around here they are taking away the culture and the history just be put up fancy condos and buildings of such. we just lost one of our favorite places to eat that was in one of these older buildings. it was just a little place but they had great ethiopian food. wonder what it would have been like if God had not rested? good poems and thanks for sharing your thoughts about them with me.

Mobbie your use of english seems pretty natural to me. If english command were any of our strong suit we'd all be Shakespeare, haha.

Shan , the God not resting bit is kind of a fleeting idea. Really just a thought provoking device that I like to think about I guess.

Shan, It really is a culture to be replaced. If bigger business is not going to take over smaller business growth won't happen according to the "Dveloper". I'm an american , and I know about garbage culture creeping into what was once a less money driven and more people driven world, IMO.

Thanks riverman, and yes, my use of english feels quite natural to, but it's .... .... I still can't say what I want to say I'm going to live in US for a year, if all goes as planned (to learn english better... mostly...) After that, maybe I'll be satisfied...

As long as you like it, I can't argue now, can I ? nope. ;D I had no intention of doing so anyway Shan, I might´ve only been here for a short while, but I´ve learned enough to not start an argue with you ;D Besides, so far you´ve shared my opinions, so I think there's no need to argue

Well I'm not entirely sure, maybe I'll live together with a family (but the important one is the girl in the family!) I know, and I'm not sure where they said they lived.. I think it was Wisconsin though.

Wow... Fille, catch up. ;D Mobbie; I had not realized that your poem was translated. I know what you mean not being able to use the word you'd want to; English is not my first language either. Translating feelings and ideas into words is already tricky in itself... Have you ever tried to write one directly in English? Riverman; Knowing your thoughts, inspiration for your poems adds a great dimension to their understanding, thanks. Your poems remind me of those of the symbolists (sorry, my literature culture is mostly French) by the way your subject is evasive, calls for images and can be taken under different angles. That about the Government to condemn a piece of land if they think a store or apartment building will generate more taxes... I'm not familiar with that, but it sounds disturbing to me.

Naaah, no way ;D (no offense, ubbie... det bara låter skumt ;D) you mean there is no way i can get a poem out of ube? ;D i had no idea if he wrote or not. who knows though, he might surprise us some day. hey, ube if you ever do decide to give it a try, i wanna read it. Well ube is quite unpredictable, as far as I know.... I'm sure he'll come up with something that will make us just look at it like a pair of Geeze, now I feel like I'll have to start writeing poetry... Unfortunantlly I don't do much in the way of creative work . Übereil

Ube, I'm not a writer either, so don't feel bad. I couldn't write poetry if I had to and I did have to give it a try in high school. Oh, man, was that bad. I have been messing around with graphics some and I've even tried my hand at drawing some manga. Not very good, but at least I am having fun with it. I would still like to try painting something some day. Honestly I am better at manipulation than I am creative.
