Has anyone ever read any Kim Harrison books?
I've been hearing so much about her writing for the last little while so I went and ordered her newest books from my book club so now I'm waiting to get them in the mail, but I don't really know what to expect of her works.
comments anyone?

Hmmm, nope, don't know... What does she write? And what books did you order? I'd be interested in hearing about what you find out when you get them and see, if you will, in any case.

I have heard of her writings but I have never read any of them except excerpts from a few on the net.
The topics seems interesting enought and sound like something that I might enjoy reading. When you get the ones you've ordered and read some, please post your thoughts and opinions. I am very interested in knowing what you think.
Have you have read any of the Anita Blake books by Laurell Hamilton?

I've never read any of her work before but I love the genre she writes in and have heard lots of good things about her so thats why I ordered it. I should be getting them probably next week (takes 2-3 weeks for delivery). So yah I will definitely post about it once i get into the books

ok so I'm about halfway through her book "Dead Witch Walking" and its kept me interested to say the least. She is a good writer with lots of little surprises. Atleast so far anyways. The stories are about this main Character, Rachel Morgan, who is a witch, and a sort of police officer. the world is filled with witches, vampires, weres, demons, warlocks, and of course humans. The Police group is called Inderlanders that are just like police, exept they have the difference of trying to catch or "tag" bad guys which could be of any species. its really cool and Harrison does a good job of mixing it all together.

Great, thanks for the update and feedback, rossoneri13. You say "the stories"; is it like a compilation of short stories or one novel at all? The synopsis seems interesting, in any case. Please feel welcomed to continue to keep us updated as you make your way through the book and that author's others.

well I got two big books of hers. Each one is over 700 pages. each one of them, has 2 books in one sort of thing. The one im reading right now, is called "This witch for hire" and the 2 in that book are "Dead Witch Walking" and "the good, the bad, and the undead". 345 pages of dead witch walking and im on page 204 right now. It just keeps getting better really with different characters being introduced and turns being taken that I never thought about 50 pages ago. keeps getting better. Now I don't know if all the stories are linked to each other yet, but when i get to the 2nd one then I'll know and add that to this thread too

well if you like the genre then you'll like the books. she is really good. I just finished the first story "Dead Witch Walking" and it was really good with lots of little twists and subplots. I'm probably going to start the 2nd one monday

Anything new, here? It's been a while since I got into a reading craze; when I do (and have gotten through those books in waiting on my shelves) I might give her a try though, if I find her books around.
