Okay, catching up with some commentary... Heroes of Fantasy and Villains of Fantasy feature a number of known and established characters, some of them from the D&D Multiverse and others more literary/mythical. I'll note the ones I can recognize for reference, from left to right... Heroes of Fantasy: Gandalf the Grey (or possibly Elminster of Shadowdale), Conan, Drizzt Do'Urden, Drizzt's black panther Gwenhwyvar, Elric of Melnibone, King Arthur and Robin Hood. Villains of Fantasy: (Not sure on the first... Mordred?), Vierna Do'Urden, Lord Soth, Count Orlock (from Nosferatu), Gollum, and Raistlin Majere. I like the Heroes and Villains pieces generally, even if there are far better villains in fantasy than some of the ones in the Villains piece. (Where are Morgan le Fay and Thoth-Amon, for instance?) That said, the Heroes piece is far better in that respect. Favorites of the current group... Early Snow, Raistlin & Caramon 94, Caramon and Crysania 94, and Avaylne the Life Giver. Shows how far Elmore has progressed over the years to me. And yeah, Shan, I can see how Early Snow would appeal to you.

well at least i can say that for a substantial amount of his work featured here, Larry Elmore has the women dressed more decently than most artists of his genre. ;D

Thanks for the commentary, Steve. The info you added makes the paintings even more interesting to me since I have no idea who the characters are or how they've interacted with each other. Now you know what Early Snow looks like. ;D

Or do the scantly dressed ones wear invisible armor to protect them? ;D
