Home page of British Graffiti artist BanksyI don't think any of it looks very offensive, but some parts might upset those of a nervous disposition. Plus I haven't looked at the entire site. You have been warned ;D Nonetheless - a very different kind of art

I must say that some of the grafitti are insulting and offensive. Like that picture with Mickey Mouse and Ronald McDonald and Kim Phuc, definitly not funny

not sure i would agree with gal here. i don't find his art offensive. in fact i find very little art offensive. i may not care for a person's type of art but it is still interesting to see their interruption. this guy had some very interesting stuff, some i liked, some i didn't, but it was still interesting. i'm glad you found him and posted the link. i had never heard of him.

He's quite well known in England, but I don't think he has much of a following in other countries. Unlike far too many current British artists, he is actually talented, but his work tends to be somewhat subversive, which means the Establishment do not like him much.
I find his stuff interesting, which is quite rare for me. I'm not really into art that much, but he has a kind of sideways view of the world I like.

He seems to make of his art something very political, and meant to make people react and think more than to have them necessarily enjoy seeing what he does. Maybe art as a tool as much as an end in itself. I don't think that it's typical to England that artists have their notoriety tainted because the establishment doesn't like them, though, and not only in visual arts... but choosing the squat of buildings' walls as canvas isn't really a way to get the Establishment on one's side at the start anyway. On the other side, it sure is an efficient way to reach audience. ;D

That's cool; I like when artists get on ugly structures like that. It makes me think a bit of the spirit of the sixties, except in a less flashy fashion. ;D

Yeah. Guy's never afraid to make his point, and he does it with style. I love that, I must admit
