I've come across alot of DeviantArt artists that I enjoyed. This can be a place for mentions of their stuff. To start off, one OmeN2501. He's got some pretty cool, well done art. Particularily I liked: Mal'ak AdonaiValkyrieDogfight...to name a few. My favorite is Rain, because you realise what is happening in layers. First you notice one thing, than another, one step at a time, shock comming at intervals (as quick as they may be). Cool stuff. ;D So, what Deviant Artists/Pictures do you like? Killerzzz

A lot of them... ;D Some of them we posted threads about here already like Enayla, Stephanie Schimerdla, Ursula Vernon, Phillip Straub, etc., but there are a lot of others. What I love the most from DA though is the resources section. Here are a few artists that I like but haven't posted about yet: Natascha Roeoesli; fav pieces are probably Lust and Soul Collector. Her husband is a graphic artist too and has nice stuff as well. Alyn; fav pieces... a lot. What he does is very interesting and he provides neat resources. Liiga Smilshkalne; there too, hard to pick favorites and interesting resources. Just a couple for tonight, more later. OmeN2501's gallery looks nice too, and I liked Rain a lot.

Ooo, that Kyena is cool. My faves are prolly Lust and Russian Pyetra. Those others look interesting, but I'll have to wait till I have more time to check out their bigger galleries. ;D Killerzzz

Yeah, that can really be a time eater. ;D About Kyena, here is a link to her website; I thought that there was one on her DA account but it doesn't seem so. And here are links to her boyfriend's Deviant Art account ( clicky) and website ( here). He has neat pieces too and a lot of them. Check out his Stinky the half orc. ;D I had in mind to make a thread about their art but never got around to yet. If you feel like doing so with some artists (and that they don't forbid such use of their pictures), feel most welcome to.

Hey, I had a question about DeviantArt. Whats the difference of having a paid account and a non paid account, when I comes to posting your art? Is there any risk to a persons posted stuff if they dont' have a paid account? Or are there simply a few less features? Just curious. Killerzzz

I think it's more about the site's features that the members can use, but I never really checked what these are about yet. It would surprise me that it would change something about "risks" for the works you post there... I don't know what you have in mind as risks, though. Do you want to set up a gallery of your stuff there?

I don't know mutch about starting and maintaining my own website, so I wanted to try this, and I'm too cheap to subscribe. ;D I think its just extra privilages you get. And stuff like selling nice copies of your work, costs extra. I might make an account soon-ish. Killerzzz

I'd like to have a web site and be adored as well. Seriously, I've been keeping away from these art sites, because I always knew I'd never be able to compete them.

Yeah, but at least its some exposure, right? Then, if you get lucky, and maybe get a few fans, you can later use that to advertise your own site. Thats my own plan, anyhow. Killerzzz

Having a web site doesn't guarantee adoration. trust me on this! ;D

Deviant Art seems a good place to create an account at if you want to interact with other artists of any level and skills... Regarding the account, if they impose no condition on your rights on the works that you create and have a good confidentiality policy, I think you could indeed win at registering there if you have serious aims in art and/or literature, be it even only to get feedback or socialize. I consider creating one for myself eventually too, but that would be for a time where I can make more graphics than now. I stand a bit like Alrik, too, in that I would like my graphics skills to be more solid and to have a better background with the digital tools before; it would be more useful for me to get into it then. For now I still learn a lot and don't really have the investment/need for it, but that may well come. I would love to see what you do if/when you get at it.

Hey Fille, thx for posting more art from the Deviant art website. I liked Natascha's work a lot, but then I might be biased, she wears my name ;D

Glad that you liked. Even without the name though, the gal's work would still be awesome. ;D I discovered this artist's gallery a few days ago and liked his works there a lot: Andrew Whou. There are several diffent styles and themes and some pieces are very funny.
