I discovered them a couple of days ago and found them really cool. The artist's name is Carl Warner and here is a link to his website. He does a lot of other neat pictures, so check it out. But now a few foodscapes (some pictures are a little big, so probably worth clicking to display scrollable full size)...

It took me some time to realize that the water is in fact salmon flesh.

They are. Even the clouds are food, be it whipped cream, kale leaf or meat piece patterns... I could recognize most of the elements that he used in those pictures but what makes the walls of the houses in the second picture (the kind of Spanish market one) still puzzles me; any idea? Looking at those pics makes me hungry. ;D

Hmmm, I don't know; if what you mean is pasta a bit like what he used for the curtains in the 6th pic, I think it would be too sleek as texture. The closest that this texture reminds me of is either a kind of crust thing, a bit like crackers can be made of, or maybe one of those very firm and dry old cheeses...

Yeah you're right Fille, with a second look at it, it looks indeed like old cheese (can't find a decent picture, but it looks like old cheese indeed)
