Yeah, especially since you'll miss Gilardino (for a picky yellow card). Bayern were lucky, Milan deserved to win since they simplly played better than their opponents.

yah the Gilardino yellow card was just because he was called for that offside even though he was onside, and he didnt hear the whistle. and already Ronaldo is not even eligible to play so Inzaghi is going to have to shoulder the load. That away goals rule is going to hurt big time. This is exactly how Bayern beat Real. With 2 away goals. Faith in the 2nd leg just went WAAAAYYYYY down.

Liverpool 3, PSV 0. That'll please a few boardies here, I think ;D Might you refer to me among others? Unfortunatly our TV3 showed the Milan - Bayern game so I had to see the Pool game when I already knew the result. But it was a good game and 'Pool is in great form atm and looking set for the semis. Btw, Benitez has been promised at least 40 mil £ for the next season and are already rumored to be courtin David Villa and other attacker. I think next season could be the one where 'Pool is finally a serious contender. The Milan - Munich game was not so much a well played match but the draw was well deserved. Munich never gives up and are always a dangerous side. The return match should be quite thrilling and absolutely nothing is given yet, though I root for Bayern (Sorry rossonieri ). I still have a feeling this might be their year.

Scholes is so garbage. Why does the coach play him in a game as important as this? And how come Saha is not playing? or Silvestre? Or they hurt or suspended or something or is there a reason why the coach is going with 2nd stringers? I almost feel obligated to root for Roma because Milan look to be heading out of the tournament, but I like United more than Roma, but if they keep playing like this, United won't be able to get through.

I almost feel obligated to root for Roma because Milan look to be heading out of the tournament, but I like United more than Roma, but if they keep playing like this, United won't be able to get through. 1: Scholes is one of Premier Leagues best midfielders this season. He's been fantastic. Yesterday he was one of few players (I think) who showed some fightingspirit. But then again, he allso showed why he shouldn't deal so much with hard tackling... 2: Silvestre is injuried. So is Evra, Neville and Vidic. Fletcher and Saha is just back from injuries, and the same can be said about Solskjaer. 3: United did their best game of the season this saturday vs Blackburn. Despite being 0-1 down in halftime (while dominateing the game as usuall) they managed to push up to 4-1 after a great show of strenght. I believe this is one of the reasons (together is away field) United made such a feeble impression, they were simply fatigued after the Blackburn game. I'm sure they will show their real face next Tuesday on Old Trafford (but I suspect they will be a bit fatigued after the Portsmouthgame on Saturday too. Therefore I hope for an easy ride vs them). Difficult scedule for the moment with four games in ten days... Übereil

Scholes never could tackle. It's always been the weakest part of his game.

Ronaldo can't tackle either. The difference between the two is that Ronaldo's aware of it! Übereil

I love Ronaldo. He's one my favourite players to watch. Usually if the united game is on tv and he isn't playing I automatically get turned off and most often change the channel. I think he is the most exciting player to watch in terms of when he is running straight at defenders, he can make them look so foolish. Like the goal they scored against Roma, he set up that whole play when he dribbled through 3 Roma defenders and laid it off on the wing. I know this would probably never happen but I would absolutely love to see him play with Milan and Kaka. The two of them playing together would just be an insane combination!

Hmm, Kaka to United... Anyway, in terms of individual skill you're absolutelly right. Ronaldo can really make your day when the rest of the team is playing below their standard. Sometimes one run, or one dribble is enough to score that important goal. Not to mention that he's nice to look at when he's on the move ;D. But when the rest of the team has their steam up they show that they really know how to roll the ball, which can be entertaining too . But Ronaldo somehow is more reliable when it comes to pure entertaining... Now, if only he would quit filming... Übereil

The big drawback with Ronaldo, yeah. He's immensely talented, hugely entertaining - yet he keeps going after the best actor Oscar. If he could only stop cheating he'd be one of the best in the world.
The problem with being a cheat - it overshadows everything else.

true he is quite the actor. but hes just so much fun to watch like during the world cup when i wanted portugal to lose i found myself still wanting to see ronaldo do something cool. I think maybe in 3 or 4 years when he gets a little more experience, maybe the acting will calm down a bit and he will reach his full skill. Then he can come to Milan Well if not I have him on my team in my video games lol

Ronaldo is top tree in the world, no doubt about it.
And Ronaldo doesn't dive close to as much as he used to, in the last months it's allmost ceased completelly. I think it has to do partlly with matureing, and partlly with his current run of form. He's showed more than once that he can win games for United without cheating, and I think that has had a good inpact on him.

i still think 3 years is a good time frame for him. At the next world cup, Ronaldo, Kaka, and Gilardino are going to be the superstars of that tournament

true. Gilardino hasn't proven it yet. but come 2010, he will have. he just needs a bit more experience and champions league is proving to be his best teacher, because he gets to play against teams from all leagues and styles. last year he didn't play much in the champs league, but this year he is starting to come around, and by the next world cup, he will be at the top of his skill.
