Here is something else I've been wanting to do, and now that the NFL is winding down, it's a good time to try. This will be the new weekly NBA thread, so anything you have to say about the NBA such as games, teams, players, etc. put it here! I'll try to put the new one up every Sunday or Monday. And of course if something BIG happens (Like KG getting traded) you can start your own thread.
Now, you probably think I have something to say, but I don't! No NBA games were on here today! Tomorrow there is, so I'll post in this tomorrow.

The Spurs slid from 1st place in the standings after a losing streak which they have partially turned around; Duncan, speaking about their victory over the Celtics, admitted that "Wins are wins, but it's frustrating not to close people out. It shouldn't have been that close. We allowed them to get back in the game.''. They have beaten the easy teams and now have some tough games ahead. It galls me when Dallas beats the Spurs, and I'd really like to see them smash Dallas.

I tried watching San Antonio/Houston tonight, but it was one of the most boring games I've ever seen. Both teams literally could not get anything done. I finally turned it off about half way thru the third quarter when both teams finally reached 50.
Anyway, I'll definitely be watching tomorrow as Dallas visits my Bulls, and I think the next game is Cleveland at the Clippers. LeBron is always a lot of fun to watch.

I do hope your Bulls beat Dallas. What is the matter with the Spurs? They should beat Houston.
You must have cable TV. I don't, so I only get to watch a few.
edit: Memphis beat Utah--so upsets happen, BUT NOT TO THE SPURS please.

Yea it's odd they'd lose to Houston, but don't worry about it. San Antonio will be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs I think. Everyone is quick to crown either Phoenix (who is 0-2 vs. Dallas and 0-1 vs. SA) or Dallas, no one is talking about the Spurs. That's ok though, they'll do their talking come playoff time.

Yup, watched that game tonight. I thought we were only okay. We tried to let Dallas win the game, but Dallas didn't want it.
That said, I'd really like to know what a foul is anymore. Luol Deng was really smacked around a lot but didn't get any calls, where if you looked at Nowitzki (who played bad, BTW) it was a foul. Now I know the superstars get some calls, but this was crazy.
Defensively I thought we only did okay. We allowed way too many second and third chance shots.
Overall though, a great win against arguably the best team in the NBA, and I'll take it!

Saw my Bulls beat the Heat 100-97 tonight! We are now 3-0 against the defending champs! This game really wasn't as close as the score would indicate, we slumped near the end, but we led virtually the whole game, and I think the only time we were behind was say, 6-4. Our back court played excellent, and the Heat's age showed. We simply ran them ragged when we were on offense, and attacked the hole hard. Not a whole lot to say about the game, we basically dominated every phase of the game. One note, Ben Wallace got injured with about 5 minutes left, but it looks like it's just a slight knee strain. Whew!

Kudos to your Bulls.
And while I didn't see the game, I am happy to know that the Spurs beat the Lakers in their first road trip. Back-to-back nights against Utah and Phoenix coming up. It will be really sweet if they win those 2 games.
