Denmark produced a brilliant comeback to 3 - 3 after the worst first half I've ever seen us play. We were looking set for a draw (though we had chances for a win) when in the 89th minute Christian Poulsen lost his head and hit Rosenberg in the penalty field. Though I read that Poulsen felt provoked, the act itself was inexcusable and resultet in a penalty for Sweden. And then the chaos ensued as a fan entered the field and actually attacked the referee. The ref immediatly abandoned the game, which is very understandably. You can read about it hereNever in my life have I witnessed something like this. The idiot fan has singlehandedly destroyed any remaining chance of us entering the Euro as we're going to face a default loss and heavy sanctions. I am still shaken by what turned out to be an incredible game, ube can back me up on this, had to be ruined by a piece of [Censored] Needless to say everyone fears the consequenses . This is unprecedented in UEFA (The tv speaker said there wasn't any precedence in the guidelines for a situation where a ref is attacked on field) so sanctions will hit both economically and prestige wise. It could also force our national arena (and others as well) to build larger fences around the field - something that's never been done due to our relatively peaceful fan factions. Anyway - I just wanted to vent. This is a black day for Danish football and I feel awful

Where were your stewards? They have to be completely incompetent to allow something like this. It's an inexcusable lapse.
Failure to prevent a pitch invasion I can understand, but failure to stop ONE guy?

Wow... an idiot soccer fan, THERE is a shock. Don't players in Europe kick fans asses if they go on the field? That guy would have gotten stomped in the U.S.

PeterH the game was great up till that incident... Obviously the guy who "pitchinvaded" had gotten so pumped up when you made your 3-3 comeback, that when your player got that penalty he lost his head completely... Though I DID like your comeback, kinda.. Some seemed kinda lucky, but overall you played insanely much better in the 2nd half pity game got ruined, would love to see the turnout if it wasn't for that.

There are usually stewards who prevent anything like that happening, V. It's a rare game without some police presence, too. So a lot of people should have been there to intercept the guy who ran onto the pitch. I can't imagine why they failed to do so.

That's to be investigated, I'm sure. Anyway, as Peter said it was a great game til the fan came in. It was the most exiting game involveing Sweden since the quarterfinal in Euro 2004 against Holland, and prehaps the most exiting international game at all I've seen since that game! It had it all, six goals, good attacking football from both teams (at least from time to time ), tempo, intencity, the thrill of a team chaseing (and acually comeing closer), and a dramatic finnish, even though it turned out to be a real sad one. After the game everyone will talk about the supporter, and the game itself will be forgotten . Übereil
