The Thuggees are indeed, quite interesting, yes. Wikipedia also has an entry on these guys too. They have quite the colorful history, though I'm not that well studied up on British colonial period.

There's no real reason anyone outside of Britain (Or the relevant ex-colonies) should be, really, Steve. It's a somewhat interesting period, to me, but normally I'm more interested in the Elisabethan period. Nonetheless, this got posted on the SSF and I couldn't resist 'borrowing' it ;D The Thugs are one of the more intriguing cults in world history, and it's quite surprising how often people use the word without any idea of its actual origin...
