Okay, this is mainly for NJT, but also for anyone else who might be interested in finding out about a very very hilarious series.
Those in English-speaking countries will only have access to the very very short anime - only 2 OAVs were made. And it only shows the hilarity of the series, but not much of the story.
For a good description/review of the OAV, go here:
www.animeacademy.com/finalrevdisplay.php?id=89
It is available on VHS and DVD.
But what I want so very badly is the manga! But I guess it's too much of an underground hit that most people I talk to have never heard of it.
At one point, I had a section of my website dedicated to it, but have since taken that page down.
If I remember correctly, there are three volumes in Japan that collect it. Here are the cover images to them. Here they are:
Doing a bit of research, I came across this info:
The Dragon Half manga consists of 65 chapters spread across seven volumes. The two anime episodes were made from elements in the first manga. The manga, which is a parody on the 'Dungeon and Dragons' genre, tells the adventures of a dragon-half named Mink in her search of the Pido potion, which can turn anybody into a human.
That site also lists the ISBN of the 7 volumes as well as the three volumes I mentioned earlier. members.tripod.com/~HgStorm/DragonHalf/dragmisc.html
It also links to a guide to the whole series: www.wot-club.org.uk/DragonHalf/guide.html
And I just found a link to where they have done translations of the three volumes.... I just wish it was scanlations. www.swb.de/~zahara/dh/dh.html
Anyway, I found all that by going to www.anipike.com
