Yeah, it's a great initiative; apparently there were other seedbanks in the world, but none as big and as protected. It would seem that it's already built though, and that the first deposits were made a week or two ago ( link with more links & pics). It's cool that they do that, but it would be even greater if they extended the targets to plants that arent used as crop as well, especially those from rainforests; we still have a lot of use for plants to discover and a big bunch risk to disappear forever before we can even try. A few years ago in the US they started DNA and [animal seeds] banks as well (I think it was the Audubon Society), seeing the massive extinctions that take place. I don't think it's in as imposing buildings, though.
