How about a thread to share your favorite recipe. Just because you have a favorite food doesn't mean you cook it or have a recipe for it. I know I don't prepare my favorite food. I get it out. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo, if you have a favorite recipe this is the thread for it. Shan

A very simple recipe, but one that my family likes alot. Chicken Casserole 4 to 5 chicken breats 1 can of Cream of Chicken Soup 1 regular carton of sour cream 1 1/2 tbs. lemon juice 1 tube of Ritz crackers 1 stick of butter Boil chicken and then cut into small pieces. Spread cut up chicken over the bottom of a medium casserole dish. Mix chicken soup, sour cream, and lemon juices in a bowl and then spread mixture over the chicken. Crush the tube of Ritz crackers and spread over the mixture. Melt the stick of butter and pour over the Ritz crackers. Sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired. Preheat oven and cook at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and eat. My girls love this with mixed vegetables and bread sticks. Sometimes we make a broccoli and rice casserole to go with it instead of the mixed vegetables. Shan

Here is the recipe for the broccoli casserole that we sometimes fix to go with the chicken casserole. Broccoli and Rice Casserole 2 cups of cooked rice 1 pkg of frozen broccoli 1 can of cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup of milk (a little more if desired) 1 block of sharp or mild cheddar cheese (shredded) Mix first 4 ingredients together and place in casserole dish. Preheat oven and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and spread shreaded cheese on top. Return to oven and bake until cheese is melted. Remove from oven and enjoy. Shan

Heres a sort of snack me mum sometimes makes.
Make some mash potato. Open a tuna can, drain the oil and add to the mash. Add some herbs or i like a good spring onion. Mix it up well.
Make some batter.
Make balls of the mixture and dip in batter.
Fry in oil.
Doesnt take long and makes an incredible snack!!

Shan: Thanks I like the chicken casserole recipe. When i say open a can of tuna and mix it with the mash i meant the tuna...not the can ;D

Wow...so many...Ok, I'll try to make it sounds like I'm not a diet freak or something. ;D
I'd say one of my top favorites are simple and easy to make... bits of chicken breast, covered in cheese with bits of green peppers and steamed rice on the side. Good stuff, good stuff. Pretty healthy too...
Another thing I really like that's pretty healthy and takes an easy short time to make is Chicken Ceaser Salad Wraps. Take that, Taco Bell! ;D Flour tortillas, chicken, parmesan cheese, chopped lettuce, diced tomatos, and sometimes water chesnuts...topped with ceaser salad dressing. I'm getting hungry now...
And the not so often, but very good eating home made Pizza. Nothin' wimpy about this inch thick crust, half inch thick base, piled with home made sauce and mozzarella cheese, along with toppings of choice...Yeeeaaa buddy. ;D Which reminds me...as far as snacks go...can you say mozzarella sticks?
