Wow! That's completely awesome! I can't imagine having the patience to do something like this. Great find, Luci (I seem to vaguely recall that the reason the real Napoleon was mounted on a mule for the real crossing, BTW, was that he was at best an indifferent horseman. I could be wrong, though)

As I recall he was on a mule in his paintings, to make him seem bigger. He seemed like a child on a real horse. I don't know if he actually was on a mule in battle, I always assumed he rode a horse there.

EK: Well it's about halfway completed and the total amount of time taken would be somewhere between 7 to 10 yrs, so I've heard. Lews: Huh... didn't know that about the mule and donkey business.

Wow, what an amazing project!! Kudos to that woman... I have a very limited knowledge of history, but it's much more practical to use mules than war horses to travel across mountain chains; it looks less regal too, of course. ;D
