Sports and music will be the main point of my stay so the rest of my/our daily life will be very cheap. (we won't spend much more money than he does now, he already has a house plus all furniture and such, he pays zero water, only minimum electricty, no heat - yay for being aussieland - and since our diet is pretty healthy, we dont pay heaps for fastfood or whatever, blah)
We kinda decided now
We went through the list and picked out what we both are interested in and what we both have less expierence in - so we don't have unfair advantages
Afterwards, we checked if any sports on our wishlist are too similar and screwed those. We came up with the following:
Lawn Bowls - because it is not demanding on the body in any way but a very technique-focused sport with chances to compete on a intermediate level in our age - and absolutly gender-unspecific, so we can play in a team
Tennis - because it is the opposite of LB, it's very demanding on the body, a fast sport, we can play doubles or against, we will get a trainer, we know we are too old for anything fancy so it will be on a social level
Ten-Pin-Bowling - we decided on that because it's a rather fun sport, it combines technique and can be fairly demanding on the body but the most important - it is fun! (we didn't decide if we join a club or a league yet, we both arn't absolute beginners in that one)
and, but that only if we find a trainer who is willing to train us both,
Athlectics. We think about that one because we both liked to do that on a junior level but in different disciplines, what would be nice so we do the same sport but can cheer for the other one in his discipline ;D (I'm a high-, long-, and triplejumper, I also go for sprinting, he is the type for middle- and longdistances runs and might join in triple jump & hurdles. We both suck badly in shot put and the like
)
I know that all sounds crazily much but we will do all of that on a loser-social-level so it will not be too much. We will have TP-Bowling only once a week, Lawn Bowls 3 days a week for 1 hours and Tennis 3 days a week à 1 hour.
We choose the Tennis hours like that cause people who know better than us told us more, as a beginner, would be dangerous. That's also the reason why we will have a trainer, so we don't kill ourselfs ;D
We plan on friday, sunday, wednsday here.
LB is not demanding on the body, how I said, so it's not a problem to play it 3 times a week, we will do that on monday, tuesday and thursday evening.
Bowling is a classic saturday sport.
Athletics will first enter the stage when we figure out if we actually like TB bowling & LB enough too continue.
We will start some low athlectics-training once a week for 1 1/2 hours (on the Bowling day) and eventually continue with more.
Man, that sounds much crazier than it is really xD When I was still a semi-pro dancer I had about 20-25 hours training a week and physiotherapy and such wasn't even included - it isn't as mad as it sounds ;D
Ok so, I just thought I tell whoever is interested or bored enough to read
PS: sorry for the novel
