That's gross! I don't know where you find this stuff Luce, but like Elliot I'm not sure I want to know of more extreme cases like this!

Rhiian: Whether mild or extreme, piercing or even body modification or tattooing isn't new. It's a practise that ran in many tribes and communities until well... multiple factors like "colonial rule", "modern urbanisation", "conformity", etc. did away with most of it. Though more people are starting to indulge in it and recognise various forms of it.
You could call it crazy or whatsoever but the point is: usually no one else was harmed, right?(Yeah I know there're mothers who force their children to go for piercings and whatnot though it's not too extreme.) I find that far better than say... policies that serve to segregate or diminish various ethnic/religious/whatever groups, which is often part of what many recognise as "civilised living" these days.

Oh I know that. But why would you want to do something as extreme as getting an extra arm or turning into a lizard? Sure it might get you into the record books but what are you going to look like when you're in your 70s and covered in green scales?

Oh well, who cares. *shrugs* There're lives, occupations, trends, etc. which're all measured in terms of desirability(negative to positive). So, just let them live. And I'm very sure many folks have things they will regret sooo... it's not like they're any better.

Dunno... I mean, whatever crazy things most of us do, at least we can say we never had a relative's arm amputated and attached to us as a third limb...
There's crazy stuff and then there's CRAAAZY!!! stuff, ya know?

There's crazy stuff and then there's CRAAAZY!!! stuff, ya know? Ah well... stuff like this doesn't freak me out or surprise me or anything. I've read way too many horror books and articles on psychological issues, psychopaths and so on, to be shocked anymore. Oh well... medical-wise, I wonder about something: you know people who've twins(not sure about identical or non-identical part) and who're missing limbs? I've heard about "grafts" and scientists growing body parts. Interestingly, in this case, the guy gets around with an "limb" from his twin. Medical repercussions for him, I haven't heard of them but might be cool to find out. So, imagine being able to "grow" and "program" the cells from your twin and having a new functioning arm attached to you. Wouldn't that be cool for victims of war and accidents and stuff? Still, I'm sure scientists must have already thought of things like this.

THink I've heard of that. It must be identical twins because they have the same genes whereas other twins are different eggs that got fertilised rather thanone egg that spilt. sounds pretty similar to stem cell reasearch but with live people.

The first guy would only have had to add a little methylene blue to his diet and he would have gotten the same result... Plus malaria protection and urine like in the absorption ads in bonus! ;D Those extreme transformations I have a hard time to even consider without shivering and grinding teeth... Ugh!

I thought the white of your eyes is actually a parameter to see if you're ill or something no? If the guy wanted to blue eyes, why didn't he just drop by @ my place? I would be happy to provide him two nice blue eyes and save him the money for that stupid tattoo. I hope he doesn't think he can remove that tattoo with laser treatment?

Lol blue eyes. Well, if it isn't any harm, cool.
Amouted arms however are a rather unheathly fetish I would say, what if they get bored of that one? Hmmm
