Yeah, it's good thinking.
I've read about cases of theft and violence where the guilty parties have been apprehended after bragging on fb. Pure idiocy on their part but it gives the authorities a whole new tool in bringing people to justice. We'll see more of these cases in the future.
Also, I'm currently looking for a job and aware that a possible employer might check my fb profile. For good or bad that's a reality we have to face.

You can always change your profile name no boss will find you there. Besides, there is a time for relaxing and a time for work. No boss should look into your internet behavior when you're at home.

On the contrary, Gal, a good employer will want to know as much about a potential employee as possible. Attitudes outside of work often carry inside a job, too, so a person with many friends and a keen sense of responsibility TO those friends is a good bet (Gets on well with others, is responsible) whereas someone whose life is a train wreck will bring all their baggage into their job.
As an employer, you want the best person for the job - and that most definitely includes personality and overall attitudes!

Agreed, Elliot.
It's no big deal to me since I have nothing to hide but I can understand why it might bother prople. It is possible to keep your profile private but then an employer might mistake that for something else. Oh well, it's just something one will have to decide on their own..
