Launched by Japan and called Ibuki (meaning "breath"), it will measure the densities of carbon dioxide and methane from 56,000 locations on the Earth's atmosphere. Article here (click).(And perhaps will we eventually counter a global warming by the satellites cover when it becomes crowded enough up there... )

I think we'll get some surprising results from those images/whatever form of data it will provide. Methane and CO2 not only comes from industry and cars...
