For once there's actually a good reason to be happy! AaB, my local team, continued their succes from last years CL with an impressive 3 - 0 victory against Deportivo La Curuna on our home field. An very deserved win as we outclassed them - and even though Coruna isn't excatly firing up the league this season (8th, I think) it's still an incredible result for a Danish team!! I'm extremely happy and things are looking very good for next weeks rematch in Spain. I don't want to jinx things but the way we're playing we should be able to advance to the next round!! YAY!!

That's pretty darned impressive! Deportuvo are a regular CL/UEFA cup side, so beating them ain't easy!

The road has come to an end after the second UEFA match against City, and in the most merciless way possible.
After an atrocious first leg in Manchester - the worst international game I've ever seen them play - where we failed to score on even the most basic of chances, we ended up with a 0 - 2 loss. Naturally expectations were low but at least we still had hope. And we weren't let down.
The first half of the game lacked chances, but in the second half we outplayed the expensive Scum City stars as we shut down their attack and tore through their defence but. Two late goals, though not for the lack of earlier chances, secured overtime and then penalty shootout which, unfortunatly, ended badly.
I'm still proud of what my local team has achieved and they certainly gave it their all but unfortunatly it wasn't enough tonight. We deserved to advance as we played our hearts out and were that much better than City. We should've scored a few more goals and to add insult to injury we were robbed of at least one clear penalty and one more that could've easily been given as well!
[Censored] this sucks!
