Lol poor thing; it's cute. ;D A similar thing happened in my backyard last Summer... Mom Squirrel wasn't as caring and patient though (probably was tired with his 5 other siblings to take care of too). But the little one ended up joining the gang eventually nonetheless (and without help).

But the little one ended up joining the gang eventually nonetheless (and without help). I always knew that Canadian squirrels are a lot braver and stronger and smarter then the American ones ;D

They have to be, with moms like that! ;D However, everyone should know that that cuteness was yet another tactic for them to head towards world domination...

Our squirrels are possums. They're visious little buggers too. A grown male will happily fight off a feral cat.

Those are cute... Our squirrels can be surprisingly bold too; they happen to chase small birds of prey off from our yard.

There is some kind of a squirrel that is called the flying dog or so. It looks like a squirrel with wings, but it has a stretchable skin under it's arms, connected to its feet so when it spreads the arms it can actually float down from high trees. Wicked animal!

Oh yeah, those are cool (and sooo cute)! We call them flying squirrels. IIRC there's a critter in Australia that looks almost the same but is a completely different creature (marsupial vs mammal); it's the most cited example when talking about convergent evolution.
