Well, that's off to a rather good start. Anyone else seen it?

It's only on BBC right now, which means all over the internet by this time next week, I'm sure ;D Torchwood can be a bit hit and miss, but right now it's more hit than miss. Just hope it continues that way

^ AHAHAHA. omg though i'm haivng a riot trying to guess what the beggers are. first me and my friend were like OOH MB ITS THE SLIVEEN! but the sliveen could live in earth's atmosphere :/ and have already been in a spin-off show (sarah jane adventures) but i noticed jack was like "i gave them MY children" so my guess is that clement is his son? no idea if the spoiler thing will work there. but i'm not changing it if it doesn't

Nope, the spoiler tag doesn't work! We might have hide, but I don't remember for sure...
[hide]testing...[/hide]
I think Clement is actually an alien of some kind. As for the aliens - I think they are new. And why not? It's a huge universe out there...

And it just keeps getting better! One part to go and the stakes are astronomical...
Best Torchwood story yet? If they can the ending off, definitely...

And what a totally awesome ending! Whither now for Captain Jack, I wonder?

I thought the ending seemed rushed, IMO they left too much to be done in the last episode and didn't quite manage to do a good enough job.
Having said that I was glad to see that they didn't shy away from Jack doing what needs to be done at any cost. He is not a hero and I for one like this about him.
My only question no is.....what is next for the torchwood franchise?......

CoE does set the bar very high and I have to admit it's better than a lot of the latest Who stuff. S2 of Torchwood was also very good.
Is it currently the better show? Yes. Yes, I have to say it probably is. I certainly enjoyed CoE more than any of the Who stories not written by Steven Moffat over the last few years.
Is it the better show overall, comparing one very bad season, one good season and one great mini series with the awesomeness that is 45-ish years of Who? Not even close.
With Moffat about to take over as show runner for the next Doctor as well, I have to say my anticipation for the future of Who is also far greater than for the future of Torchwood.
Not that I don't want to see what Captain Jack does next. Coz I definitely do...
