Actually, I was looking up whether wooden spoons would have any effects on clays and herbal extracts, especially when mixing them in a bowl. I knew about metal and oxidisation of certain ingredients but wood? Wasn't too sure.

In cooking there are some recipies that will tell you not to use any metal implements in the cooking of the recipie, and others (notably beating egg whites) that will tell you you must use a metal implement.

Thanks, DPR, for the info. Though mmm... it's not for cooking but for mixing herbal stuff which consists of clays, essential oils(oxidisation for certain oils supposedly if they touch metal) and so on.
