Yes. Very much so. I like this idea, and I would hope that this movement gains traction in other schools, particularly in other countries. There's a fair chance that it could happen... comics seem to be taken much more seriously as a creative medium of late. Will well be worth watching, I think...

I thought it was pretty cool - especially the approach, which is to encourage creativity rather than create a homogeneous 'school of writing' feel. They certainly have enough experienced hands involved that this may actually produce some good writers. We can certainly hope so I know there are schools for sequential art, but this is actually the first time I have read about a course for comic writers. Certainly worth keeping an eye on, as you say
