Ohhh... I am watching Season 1 now. It is good, really good! At first, the cast interactions and even part of the plot felt a little awkward at times, but it's all getting better now. ;D One thing I didn't really like though: Why do people think that saying the F word a lot, will make things seem more "matured"? Oh and the music is good, really nice. I can't wait to find out who was watching Dexter inside the car boot! Also, Dexter.. you're awesome, taking relationship advice from a couple you're about to kill! I couldn't stop laughing, ya know? ;D Also, really really hate Dex's sis... she is soo annoying!

And clever hijack of the thread, Killerz. Okay and finally finished Season 1. Damn good show! ;D Holy smacking cheese... I just did NOT expect that Dexter had a brother and geez, guess no one, not even Harry is perfect, huh?

damn... that was one hell of a twist when doakes appeared at the support meeting. "Now it all makes sense"... LOL! ;D
Mmm... season 4, huh? Here's to hoping Season 5 isn't the last one. And oh here's to hoping there's far less sex in the next season. Halfway through S2 and there's way too much of it. No, not a prude here.

Just finished S2. Damn awesome, man. Also, poor Doakes. Sad to see him go but he had to, anyways. Was really tensed about Dexter surrendering but... ya know, I was wondering how it would end 'cos there're 3 more seasons, ya know. And oh yah... the part where Dexter was totally freaked out when the FBI pple came for him, was very cool to watch. There he was... totally being paranoid when... well... the "person of interest" was someone else. Close call, though... if he had just taken the other turn, he'd have been at the cabin.

I love his sister! She's awesome. Yeah it's a great first season. The second season is great too, and the third! Yah his sis is cool, man. Btw, did you know that the actress who plays her is married to the guy who plays Dexter? ;D And that the actress who plays Lila is very good friends with the one who plays Rita? Talk about twists, man.

And I just watched the key lime pie episode. Any thoughts/speculations about this(about Camilla, the filer)? You think Camilla knew that Dexter was a killer? She kinda had to, you know, to accept the truth about his brother just like that.

Holy smacking , man !!!! I... just watched the last episode of Season 4. What can I say? I'm completely dumbstruck by the ending. Question: will Harrison be just like his father? Or will he have his own issues? How will Cody and Astor turn out? Cool rap song about Dexter. Dark, moody and slightly sad. But still addictive. (Warning: spoilers in the vid! Erm, was unable to put the vid in the spoiler tag.)

I will be super mother[Censored]ing pissed if they make him like his father. The fact that its what caused Dexter to be like he is is the most ridiculous thing ever. How old was he supposed to be in that? 2 1/2? He wouldn't have remembered. And if he had, it would have been the rest of his life. You don't "recover memories" like that. Bull[Censored]bull[Censored]bull[Censored]
Sorry, that just severely pissed me off the first season. Harrison was significantly younger than Dexter was and WOULD NOT REMEMBER THIS HAPPENING OR ANYTHING ABOUT HIS MOTHER AT ALL.
Someone on another forum made a good point about Trinity being in Debra's apartment.. we don't see Debra again in that huge gap after she tells Dexter about his biological family. How did he find Dexter's address? Why was he going back to Dexter's house? Did he want to see Dexter find Rita? How will Dexter get out of this one? The police will be asking why the Trinity killer would come after him, way out of his cycle. Rita was too old with children to be the bathtub kill. Also, how will they deal with Michael C. Hall having cancer? They start filming in April or May, I believe, and it seems he has lost his hair from the chemo. He also looks about 15 years older. Poor guy. He is such a great actor and seems very intelligent and likable in all the interviews I've seen of him. I'm so happy he won at the golden globes!

Err, I disagree. Children(even babies) can remember trauma. Only thing matters is IF the baby blocked it out but that doesn't mean the incident won't have an impact on Harrison. As for me, I'm totally looking forward to next season. I can't wait to see Dexter turn into the real monster and for things to get much darker. ;D He found Dexter's address through Debra's apartment, I assume. As a killer, he didn't know anything about Dexter(as Lithgow said) but he could sense many things about Dexter and that's how and why Rita ended up the way she did. He was simply recreating the past of Dexter for him to see: as a gift and a curse for him. A gift to free him from his family and a curse because it took away the person he loved. In a way, they are following the plot from the books, albeit indirectly. In the books, Cody and Astor turn out to be sociopathic too(Cody kills, Astor likes to watch) and it's up to Dexter to teach them how to kill, without getting detected. But since the tv series didn't follow that direction, I assume they might be considering this direction for the baby. Yeah, he won at the Screen Actors Guild Awards too. Well, hopefully he gets a lot better soon. Oh, I hope he gets better.

No, it is actually NOT possible for him to remember. Really not. They have done many, many studies on this, just like they have done on "recovered memories" from childhood. I realize it is a TV show and they are heavy on the film theory (i.e. Freud), so it makes sense within that.. But not in reality. Past the age of three/four it would be possible for Dexter and his son to remember but not to forget and then spontaneously recover. Something that traumatic stays. But, again, the Dexter universe exists inside the complicated world of film theory so they would go down that road. These ideas are very pervasive ones in the publics' view of psychology BECAUSE they are so heavily featured in films, tv shows, and literature. Media enjoys getting its Freud on.
I understand why they will most likely go down the road with Harrison but it will still piss me off. And I could totally see Astor being sociopathic.. Girl is creepy. The actress has skeeved me out since the first season. Guhhh.
I wonder how much more into film theory they will go?
Oh, and as a response to earlier the sex in season 2 was disgusting because I HATED LILA WITH ALL MY LIFE. Jesus Christ what an annoying character.
Edited to say: Besides, a significant portion of things you "remember" are actually falsehoods. Memory is extremely fluid and unreliable. It is easier than most realize to create a memory or force someone to misremember AND to make that person extremely adamant that whatever you placed in their heads is true, true, true.

Wait... so you mean he'll forget but the trauma will affect him? Oops... I forgot about that. What's film theory? Ooh Lila eh? She's a little annoying but I found her kinda hot. Also, I've got a bit of a grandoise streak within me. And I'm also a little vain, kinda narcissistic and rather self-centered. So, she was a bit like me, really. And I couldn't stop laughing or snickering basically when she said "Pardon my tits". Astor? Creepy?! Really? ;D LOL... okay ... major confession: as a result of trauma, I used to be like that too. Blank at times, incapable of displaying any emotion or even feeling it. The actress plays a detached person very well. Yeah... it is very easy to remember things wrongly. Or even to self-deceive oneself.
