So this painting was more some sort of propaganda? Not exactly: the event depicted in the picture really happened (Thanksgiving Day, Plymouth, 1621), the butchery resumed some years later. But for a time, there was peace between the settlers of Plymouth and the natives. The picture merely captures that one day, not the entire history of Plymouth. @ ss: A most knowledgeable post: I agree with you... Sort of. ;D
