With 10 days left in the year, and no more major blockbusters coming out this year, it is as good of time as any to list the best of 2009, this year I am going to do things a bit differently and start with the worst of the year:
Worst Movie of the year:
There are really only two films that qualify for this and they are:
Terminator Salvation and...
PUBLIC ENEMIES!!! Man this movie was slow and boring and it has two of the most overrated actors in the history of mankind in it: Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. You want a good gangster movie? pop in Bonnie and Clyde instead.
Worst TV show of the year:
Dollhouse- At its best it has some good concepts but at its worst it has Eliza Dukshu in it who as a lead kills the show, and unlikeable characters. If Eliza's role were put on Dachen Lichen (Sierra), who has a much better range than Dukshu could ever hope to have, the show wouldn't be cancelled and I wouldn't be bitter of it being given a second chance over Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Now we have my complaining out of the way here is the best:
TV:
Best series:
Spectacular Spider-Man- Best interpretation of Spider-Man in ANY medium as I've said before.
Best episode:
Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles: "Born to Run"- I love this episode, everything comes together which if you watched the series you figured out, but nobody was prepared for the losses we got in this episode, but also what Connor gained. I just wonder what would've happened after this.
Now onto the movies:
Best Movie:
Star Trek- May change after I see Inglorious Basterds again but as it stands this was the most enjoyable film I saw this year.
Best moment:
opening sequence from Star Trek- This is worth watching the film again just for this. Had me teary eyed.
Well those are my best and worst of the year. What are yours? Feel free to add anything also!
