I joined a chat related board and a comic board back in 1999. The chat board was opasia related and I think the comic board was DC related. Might have been the DC webpage one but I'm not sure =)

Ain't It Cool News, which I first read about in a newspaper and sounded pretty interesting. Not sure if you could really count it as a message board as such, but the comment threads on each article got pretty lively and anyone could submit articles, so it must sort of count. Don't think I've been there in years, now. Moved on to more fully interactive boards

First day I had access to the Internet I joined Larian, somewhere in November 2002, not too long after my son was born if I'm not mistaken.
A whole new world... ;D

I joined the Larian board in the summer of 2004. Good times, good times... Well, on the forum anyway. Despite the forum being such a great place the following autumn was probably the worst autumn in my entire life so far.

The first board I joined was a Dutch Lord of the Rings forum called Athelas, because I became really interested in the franchise back then. It must have been around 2004 when I was 14 years old. The board is now gone, but I still have good memories of it. We had a great rpg there too.
