Remeber when I had a bad day and I mentionned a complication?
Well, I still have no idea what it is, but its annoying.
Ok, at first I had these big clenching pains in my upper-left chest every once in a while. Well, since I knew it wasn't another pneumothorax (I can recognise 'em now) I had reason to be nervous.
So, I went to the doctor, they did x-rays and echo-cardio, and some other heart test, and whatnot. They didn't find anything wrong, so they're probably wondering wtf. Well, not completely wrong. They found something wierd, but they're not worried and they don't expect anything from it. In fact, it should have nothing to do with the pains, so thats still a mystery.
The heart has four chambers, and four main valves that look sorta like this: [\/] (crappy picture, I know. use your imagination). When the heart pumps, the valve opens to let blood go forward [| |] then closes right away to stop any blood from going back [\/]. Well my oddity is that mine don't close all the way like this: [\ /] . This causes a bit of backflow.
1. Normally this would be bad eventually, but not too far off. But only if its in one or two valves, because there would be build up and pressure in one chamber. The mystery with me is that ALL the valves are like that, so the backflow evens out and all is fine (?).
2. The reason this shouldn't have anything to do with the pain, is that my heart has probably been like this all of my life.
So basically we're in the dark for the pains, and the weird valve thing.
The're going to set up an appointment with a cardiologist to be absolutely positively sure nothing is wrong, but they're in no hurry, cuz they're in no worry.
But luckily, the pains stopped soon after the tests.
Yet, we can't have luck without some equally useless bad luck, now can we?
Just yesterday, I've started having pains in the same area, but of a different sort. Small, sharp, short, jabbing pains. Small enough to distinguish from "upper-left chest" to "heart" with some surity. They happen about ten times each day, so yeah. I'm gonna call up the doctor again to ask him my wtfs, and to speed up that whole cardiologist thing so I can figure out what the hell is up with my darn body. ;D
I'll skip being worried and go straight to being annoyed. The pain isn't really bad, but its really there. I don't think its something very dangerous, but its something. Well, we'll see.
I'll update you guys later (probably in a while) when I go through the whole process.
Just felt like ranting, as usual.
