Gah! I'm going crazy! I'm sorry for being so slow with this one, but its recieved much more detail than any set before! Things are happening! I am making progress, but its slow progress. I've worked at least 24 whole hours on this. At 35 panels so far, I estimate a minimum total of 55 panels. Time to sleep b4 my brain melts!!!! ;D ;D ;D Killerzzz

Walliness in progress is cool... And slow is cool too. Only a burnt out Killerzzz wouldn't be cool, so sleep, have your cheezbugger and enjoy! ;D ...Oh, but don't forget to save your progresses before.

Elliot, LaFille, thanyou for your support. Because its paid off!! Finally done! 60 panels! More quality and special fx than ever before! I dare say that (unfortunately? fortunately) the better I do at this, the longer it takes. ;D Well, I'm running on zero right now (5:15 AM as I type these numbers) so if I start getting incoherent, thats hwy. <-- Well, where to begin. A whole bunch of stuff was made fresh, and from different styles, causing me to experiment, and try more detail than usual. The vikings, the teletubbies, and most of all, the 'Bulk'. I actually had to pose for myself to figure out decent details for the epic-punch. Usually, the posts with brand-new stuff/postures took 30mins to an hour each. Draining. Theres usually a bit of extras that you probably don't even notice unless you zoom in, but they're there for that 'environment effect', making stuff look complete-er. Just a little, but it makes a difference. Thats new for me too. ;D The usual photoshop for resizing the flowers in all but the far-off panels, resizing the bones, the 'Bulk''s arm (163, 164, 166), and finally the resizing and spinning of the bee (179). Oh, and the sort of 'hole' effect of the last panel. But I've also done some useful photoshopping for a change. Such as the glow from S.C.'s eyes (172, 173) I found pretty cool. They were a layer behind S.C. himself. (look at me, talking about layers! ). I was VERY satisfied with my shadowing jobs (173, 176) which was just using a black brush at 50%; then there was the sun-light, which was the same idea, with a yellow brush. I actually played with real shadows to make sure that of the mirror was decent. ;D So, things of interest? -There were supposed to be more vikings. I got lazy. So instead, I though I was clever by looking up words in old Norse so I could make a well-known joke. You can actually figure it out if you try, but I gave the translation anyhow. -Actually, the original joke for those two vikings in the distance was "Whats the deal with 'skirt' and 'shirt'. Of course, nobody would get that joke unless they studied the history of the English language, and even then... Well, the joke is that 'skirt' and 'shirt' come from the same word, and were separated when some vikings invaded the Anglo-Saxon guys who had invaded what would become England. Interesting, right? -Originally, the teletubbies's snack was to be less obvious. -The Bulk was originally white, but became green because of the suggestions of a few people. -Yes, I really did pose for myself to do panel 160. *flexes* ;D -The mirror in the hut of S.C. was originally supposed to be a picture of his mother. That changed because I was worried that by doing that, people would think it was a window, and believe that "oooh, my face" meant that he looked like a woman. And it was that blunder that brought Wolph back into the story. So, any final notes, Killerzzz? This set was alot harder for me, but I also enjoyed the outcome immensely, and I hope you guys do. ;D Oh, and one thing that I did not yet mention that I like was Wally's disgusting passage into the underground. ;D Peace out yall, I'M BEAT! Killerzzz P.S.: Wow, I almost wrote "Peach out". Close one.

Oh, and I also used the shadow thing to make Wolph's reflexion darker. And for the first time, I input each character using layers/photoshop, but only in panel 179. Normally I plan the order of their input ahead, and do it in paint. ;D AND if anyone is interested, here is the original script for this set of Wally. It is unaltered and unedited from my original thoughts upon seeing your ideas. As you can see, some things changed. Oh, and originally, the number of panels was to be pretty much on par with the number of lines up there. 39? Bleh! Oh, AND, I toyed with the idea of having the vikings join the fight against the flowers in panel 179, but I didn't have enough room, or energy. ;D I may one day make it a 'double-panel', and add them in fighting some flowers. But I probably wont. Killerzzz

Oh my, panel 151.5 brought me such a Mario Bros flashback!! You know, when he faces the ghosts they're all cute and static but as soon as he's back to them they turn evil and run after him. I agree with you, those panels were certainly the purtiest so far, and I loved the director's comments up there; makes it like the comics version of a special edition DVD. ;D Hope you found the energy to crawl to your bed (or to the fridge) after all this and treated yourself a little once back with some energy. Now poor Wally, lol. Since you play more and more with PS effects and layers, perhaps would you find this place useful if you don't know it already: the Adobe Exchange (click). There's a ton of awesome free content in there from project files to tutorials to brushes, actions and layer styles that allow to get neat special effects in a click and save a lot of time.

Thanks guys! Oh my, panel 151.5 brought me such a Mario Bros flashback!! You know, when he faces the ghosts they're all cute and static but as soon as he's back to them they turn evil and run after him. Haha! You know what? I never thought of that! Cool! ;D I agree with you, those panels were certainly the purtiest so far, and I loved the director's comments up there; makes it like the comics version of a special edition DVD. ;D Thanks! I only hope to get a bit faster at it too, tho. Glad you liked all that babble. Thought I was gonna scare everyone away with all of it. Hope you found the energy to crawl to your bed (or to the fridge) after all this and treated yourself a little once back with some energy. Still workin on that. OMIGOSH; are you sure thats not too overwhelming for someone just starting out with panels and effects? Still, theres some interesting stuff there. I'll have to take a better look later. Lots of gradients... I wonder if gradient shape-patterns can be found too, instead of only the ones that come with Photoshop. Damn Killerzzz, you're going way too fast for me, I'm about a 100 panels late on the Wally story!! Gotta hurry to catch up with yah! No hurries and no worries, Gal. I think its gonna be a little while before I can get to making another set anyhow. Hope you enjoy it! ;D Killerzzz

Practice make perfect, they say... Though regarding speed, achieving the same will probably go faster, but I know that for myself the thing is that I'll always want to put more into it if I can so I end up with things that look better but the time remains the same or just gets worse. ;D But at least it feels great after. ;D At Adobe Exchange, I think the more daunting is the variety and amount of things we can find there; otherwise, most of them are time-savers, like allowing to obtain something in 2 or 3 clicks that would otherwise take half an hour of tinkering. I'm not sure what you mean by gradient shaped patterns (could you post a picture?)... One thing that could be and that you might like to play with that there are loads out there are layer styles (or just "styles"); you create a new layer, make a shape on it, click on the style you want and it can apply automatically all kinds of effects (including gradients) from that shape to turn it into something completely different. Perhaps some of the glow (a search for that word brings up a handful) styles could do what you search for. Also, they might not be of so much use for Wally's saga, but I highly recommend the styles made by Christopher Potter (I think I even used some in the banner up there).

I'll defenately have to look up glow and the stuff from that guy. Looks like its stuff I'll use; if not in Wally, then in something else. And by gradient shape patterns, I meant, stuff other than theses ones that it comes with: Is it possible to download other shapes or something? Killerzzz

Aaaah... Layer styles will allow you to do that; you just use the shape tool (or a brush or whatever) to paint the shape you want on a new layer (or you floodfill the layer and use a shape to cut it from it), and when you apply a layer style (I think you can apply a new one from the layer menu) you can choose to add an inner gradient, outer gradient of the colors and sizes of your choice (among else; also inner and outer bevels, pattern overlays, etc. etc.). I don't like the way the Photoshop gradient tool works so I rarely use it...

Oh, and half of what I use photoshop for is the gradients! Now, where did I leave that jar of time... Killerzzz

How are these, Gal? ;D All for you, and more if you want. They're fun and quick to make. The one from before purplized (you already have that one tho). And, me messing around a bit. (I tried to redo the original with only purple) (alternate of the above one, but with the bars on the sides) Killerzzz

WALLY GOES PUBLIC AT DEVIANTART! ;D First I made the demo image into a title page. Then, I posted the intro set of panels in four pages, and called it volume one. 1. 2. 3. 4.If you guys are interested, the first page has a little panel you haven't seen yet, for "Chapter 1" (kinda like I did one for Ch 2). Unfrotunately, since the flow of "new pictures" is so fast on the front page of DeviantArt, it looks like only one person came across the five posts! So, right now I'm depending on people radomly comming across me, or visiting because of seeing one of my things in s.o else's favorites, so that they run into Wally. And maybe later, with the other updates, more people will become aware of it. Well, its been done! ;D Killerzzz

Why don't you open a web page and create your own Wally site? You can advertise by posting your site on the various places online and put the link as a sig in almost everything you do online, forums, visiting art sites and even mails can have your url as a sig
