Alright, everyone, I've got an awsome idea ;D : I'm going to start an interactive story right here at the Chaos Cascade. It'll be crazy fun! Here's how it'll go: I'll give the introduction to the story (fourteen 440x340 pictures long), then leave it hanging. What you need to do is suggest what Wally should do next! It'll get really fun, funny, crazy, adventurous, dramatic, sad... in the end, whatever you all push it to be. I'm sure, though, the main-aim will be towards humour. I'll post it soon in the "Your Art, Stories & Poetry" section, and provide a link here. My first post will have more to say about how it'll all go. This thread will basically be for me to say if I'll have to postpone it for a while, and for anyone else to discuss the story if they want, since I wanna keep the story thread mainly for the making of the story. Of course, all that is assuming it is a success. Thats all for now, folks. Killerzzz P.S.: And don't worry; the pictures are slightly more detailed then the one I put above. I just scribbled that one night, bored. You could say thats 'Prototype Wally'. ___________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________ Existance Saga: 1-13 (14 frames) Jawbreaker Saga: 14-17 (5 frames) Wolph Saga: 18-39 (35 frames) Directions Saga: 40-51 (17 frames) Happy Valley Saga: 52-57 (9 frames) Scary Woods Saga: 58-65 (14 frames) Old Man Saga: 66-73 (11 frames) The Angel Saga: 74-97 (27 frames) The Hallway Saga: 98-113 (17 frames) The S.C. THE STORY IS UP! ;D Give Wally as many instructions as you like. As you can see, its not exactly hi-def art, but I think its a fun style (especialy for one who can't draw/graph-art anything ). A quick heads up, though. I might not be able to continue the story until next weekend. STILL, don't let that stop you from taking part! I'll look at all the posts, and get as many actions in as possible as soon as I can. A few things about it so far from myself: the second panel is my favorite (the one that actually looks good ). It was just a cool idea I had. Also, I think the Wally's expression on page six, while sad, is so cute. Only pages 6, 8, 10, and 13 were touched by photoshop. Killerzzz

Lol, that's great and the beginning is cute. I say that what Wally finds is a half of the biggest jawbreaker in the world.

Good idea, killerzzz One thing, though, that Wally guy really IS you, right? If so, quit using us as a hotline where you can try to get your life in order

Alright, the next bunch are up!! Lol, that's great and the beginning is cute. I say that what Wally finds is a half of the biggest jawbreaker in the world. Thansk, Fille. ;D Oh, and you should know that I took that jawbreaker suggestion seriously, though. Good idea, killerzzz One thing, though, that Wally guy really IS you, right? If so, quit using us as a hotline where you can try to get your life in order I'm sorry, I just don't know what to do when I run into multi-coloured-circle-things and she-wolf-freaks! I need you guys what to tell me what to do in those situations! Well, this time I only used Photoshop to do that ripple-in-the-universe effect (pages 14 and 15). This takes a surprisingly long time to do! I mean, you gotta take suggestions, plan the effect, put it into play, make it work... hours pass and you wonder where they went! The wolf and the dog took particularly long. I've never "Paint"ed let alone drawn a successful animal: those Wally dog and wolf are seriously my best work. Apart from drawn sketches, this was my final platter for their planning. Oh, and consiquently because of the time it takes to do all this, important announcement: I'll only guaruntee an update on weekends. I don't have other time to do it. So I'll let any suggestions pile up then put them all together. And yes, thats all assuming this continues for long. ;D Killerzzz P.S.: I see alot of spelling mistakes in the Wally pics; will fix them eventually. K.

Third batch is up, and its by far the biggest yet! First set: 14 pics Second set: 16 pics This set: 24 pics Holy moly! This took forever!! I stayed up all night for hours just to make this one for you guys. I like the expressions in this group; took it to the next level. And no photoshop at all this time! ;D Once again, the wolf gave me trouble making her new mouth. Oh well. As for some bad news: I will not be able to continue Wally's adventures next weekend. Maybe even the weekend after that. But if it comes to that (the second weekend) I should have a new set up by the following Wednesday. In short, prolly no more ups until the 19th. Sorreh! Cuz I knowz how much yall look forward to it. Killerzzz

Of course I look forward to it; with both hands clawed at the keyboard, even! But, we'll be patient... better a little wait than a burnt out Killerzzz resenting his craft. ;D Perhaps will we even have a Christmas edition bonus? The expressions were cool and the zoom thing on Wally's was funny.

Gotta admit, this is a great idea. Like Fille, I'm on tenterhooks waiting to see what comes next

It's probably a lot of work and time too... Especially if you draw it all with the mouse. If so, with Christmas coming and the Canadian dollar being strong, perhaps would it be a good time to look towards graphic tablets if Wally & company are promised to a long and eventful life... ?

Would be great if you had them posted too, or at least a link? You mean the wolf work? I did keep some of it: here. Unfortunately, its not all the process. Perhaps will we even have a Christmas edition bonus? Ooo. OOooooo. Iiinteresting... ;D It's probably a lot of work and time too... Especially if you draw it all with the mouse. If so, with Christmas coming and the Canadian dollar being strong, perhaps would it be a good time to look towards graphic tablets if Wally & company are promised to a long and eventful life... ? Yeah, it does get long with just a mouse. I've heard of graphics tablets.... I'd love to have one, but I don't think I'd use it enough for how much I'd invest in it... not yet anyway. I'm certainly thinking about it. Maybe if all my art stuff becomes more serious, over the summer or something, I'll go for one next Christmas. It would make my comic writing easier (I draw little comics for fun, sorta the sort of jokes as my "Sky" and "This is Bologna" Boredom Incarnate things, except drawn slightly better ). But I can't show you guys those yet! They're for the website I may or may not ever make. Killerzzz

OMG, I'M SORRY! I was constantly busy and I literally just finished like half an hour ago! What stopped me? Work, CHRISTMAS, and millions of visits and family get-togethers, life, etc, etc, etc. SO! Ehhehehe... >: ) Bonus you say? You want bonus? Mouahaha! Ok, this set of Wally is more than twice as long as the last one, which almost doubles the total of Wally frames. The grand nummah is: 52 frames. DANG! I'm tired. Frames 40-57 (and in-betweens) were done from the night of the 26th to the morning of the 27th. Frames 58-73 (and in-betweens) were done from last night (30th) to this morning (right now - 31st). I'm SO glad I got this done before the New Year. I also tried ALOTS of different styles, emotions, tones, ideas, etc again. Experimented ALL over the place. And near the beginning I used photoshop for some zooming (alot cleaner than stretching a pic in Paint -- visible on 47, 50.6, 50.9, 54, 55, 56, 57) and some gradients (43, 46,51, 51.5), and two different layers (50.3, 50.6, 50.9, 51.5). I think I'm getting better at this stuff. ;D Not faster, mind you, but better. Ok, so, I'm starting to upload it now; so it'll be up in, like, half an hour at most. Happy New Years! Killerzzz

I've decided to devide it into chapters for no reason at all, just for the fun of it. I'll list'em at the bottom of my first post. No need to pay attention to them really. Killerzzz

Oh, I absolutely think so. ;D In fact, consiquently, all the following Wally updates are going to be widespread. Every few weeks (probably every other week; three max, I couldn't live with myself not having accomplished anything in that time ). It seems life only gets busier as time goes on. Chirstmas break is over, and now its time to start looking forward to the summer. So, I'll up when I can; but wait will be usual company for any who await Wally's next steps. Killerzzz

That's cool, Killerzzz. I'm apalled to see that the holidays have already gone... BTW, I happened on this and it made me think of you; would I be rich, that would have been your Christmas present from me... But since I'm not, well, it will have to be an intentional-kind one (and belated, in addition). Enjoy! ;D
