You can doubtless see it up there now, and if you're anything like me your first thought was "Wow! Isn't that GREAT!" I'm sure Fille was hoping to sneak all her hard work in without due acclaim, but I think she really deserves it on this one! So thanks, Fille. Great job!

It's the first thing I noticed when I logged in, "tres tres belle, LaFille" (here's a gift from a shy teenage boy)

The words "New banner" slid through my mind when I scolled down to the acuall forum, but they didn't seem to find anywhere to land. But at least it made SOME impression... It DOES look nice though... So, well done! Übereil

Thank you! (And merci *bows to back to twoheadeddragon in return for the flower*) I'm really glad that you like. ...And yeah, I was on a new layout attempt for the board already. ;D About the banner, the "steering" wheel is making the symbol for "chaos", which is eight arrows starting from a single point and pointing outwards. Putting the "Chaos Cascade" into a picture was a puzzle to conceive... Especially because making a decent suitable cascade illustration is above my skill level right now. :-P The [ribbon] and symbol idea were inspired by a photoshop tutorial ( here) and the [...elements swirl...?] by a tattoo design.

I think it's terrific as a representative of the Cascade, as it's a 'forum about everything' and in Medieval beliefs everything was made up of the four elements. With the Earthern Chaos symbol surrounded by the other three, you have the symbolism of 'everything' and also in a way of 'Order being brought forth from Chaos' in the way it is structured and with the background of the void... Whether Fille intended any of that or not I don't know, but I love it on many levels, not just because it looks great

Great banner indeed, first thing I noticed around here. Can't say no to joining the elements in making a new banner, makes me feel at home even more ;D I'd like the idea of the Chaos being an enormous ship, fighting the elements (the ups and downs of the forum) and every harbour we pass, there are more people that are joining the Chaos ship. Thank you Fille, for being such a great artist.

Thanks to you too. The symbolism didn't come up first; I started from the Chaos symbol in another color, then added the banner, the background and the elements swirl last; and then I came back and modified the firsts so they would fit the theme and tried to give it an interesting "frame"... Which I'm not satisfied of but kept because of time constraints. ;D I'll probably play with it more a little later and maybe upload some of the elements separately in case that somebody would want to use or play with them too.

Oh God, I'm feeling faint... "le ciel lui tombe sur mon tete..."Playing with the elements? "Don't play with fire..." Seriously, it already looks lovely, but if you're trying to improve it, I wish you luck. P.S to Galadriel: I think it's something like an old English Privateer, with "Sir Elliot Kane" as Captain, Gray Lensman the First Mate and LaFille (sigh... ) the Second Mate. Then there's a bunch of sea dogs from all walks of life (everything from witches to scribes to missionaries ;D) running around the ship trying to address everybody at the same time, (that would include me ) and trying to answer everybody else's questions. There constant action on board, even a few attempted mutinies, but we have a fearless, noble Captain who not only knows how to lead and yell out orders, but is also noted for his Chivalry and honorable approach to various "hot" issues that arise (recently a certain Frenchman tested him with a taunt aimed at one of his favorite scallywags ), not to mention the occasional sea monster...

Why, thank you again, twoheadeddragon. And yeah, noble captain yelling... The mutinies were understandable though, Peter had forgotten to empty the latrines. Yet we shall not face any peril too great with this crew; we have a couple of dragons, an elven witch, a pro wrestler, pop signers fans, guys dressed as gals, someone making law... Avast! ;D

Yet we shall not face any peril too great with this crew; we have a couple of dragons, an elven witch, a pro wrestler, pop signers fans, guys dressed as gals, someone making law... Avast! ;D What happened to the mutineers? Were they thrown into the brig? Yikes, looks like dear Peter forgot to do his job... I'm not quite sure how the guys dressed as girls helps the crew, but yeah, Dragons for some serious skyblasting , Elven Witch for healing after a long, hard day of battle (Elven Witch: YEOW! WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE ELVEN FORESTS WAS THAT FOR, DRAGON?!?!? Dragon: Sorry, you put the wrong medicine in the wrong place, so I absentmindedly swung my right claw to rid myself of the source of pain... ;D), Wrestler for hand-to-hand combat, Pop signers fans and (most importantly) someone making law for diplomatic solutions... Oh wait, the cross-dressers are also useful for diplomacy (Lawyer: So mates, what will be the price of peace? Here, have some more rum... Invaders: well, a few wenches would do... Lawyer: I have just what you'd like mates! (calles in the cross-dressers) Lawyer: Here you go mates, what think ye of these bonny lasses? Invaders: WHOA! They sure make the moon look dull! Cross-dressers: giggle, giggle, shy smiles and winks. Lawyer: then it's settled I presume? Invaders: Aye, it's settled!) And then of course, there's the second mate doing all the real tough work (not to mention having to put up with a few tough-on-the-outside-real-soft-on-the-inside dragons ) with the first mate doing tough work too (but on a higher level, so he doesn't have to deal with the same things) and last but not least there's the Captain running the ship, fully utilizing the powers of his mates and crew, (not to mention utilizing the power of coffee)... ;D Oh and I almost forgot, there's the "mod squad" with the lashes, ready to whip any of the crew into shape. ;D

The crew of the Chaos looks like they came right out of a POTC movie
Really? Be there any Dragons. Elven witches, pro wrestlers, pop signers fans, cross-dressers or people practicing law in POTC mate? ;D Well okay, maybe there are a few cross-dressers (Elizabeth, Pintel and Raggeti) but certainly not the others... ;D ARRRRGGHHH!!!!
