In a Sports forum? It seems to be the only main part of the entertainment field that is currently under-represented, and we don't get many sports threads. What I am wondering is... Is that a general disinterest? Or would there be a lot more discussion if we had an actual forum for it? All thoughts are appreciated, people

I *know* I would be interested, especially when football (American version of course) season comes around.
And Venom would be a great mod for it too, he knows a lot about at least three major sports.

I'd need one American & one non-American mod. If Venom is a serious enthusiast, he'll certainly be considered. IF the forum happens. No promises yet, though

Well I can guarantee Venom would be a great American representative, as he knows a zillion things about pro football, basketball, and baseball.
Heck, his avatars are even sports-influenced these days.

That's certainly the main areas I'd want the US mod to cover, yes Without doing a head count, I'd say we were about half Americans, half everything else. My ideal 'rest of the world' mod I think I know already... But time will tell

I've never cared that much about sports. The only ones that I have ever watch any of are football, soccer, and hockey. And I've haven't watched much of those. But if everybody else is up for a sports forum, I'll contribute a comment or a question here and there. Shan

I will probably post at least half of my posts in the sports forum if one is indeed created. That's part of the reason my post count has lagged somewhat at the Realm - ever since they took down the Sports forum, and also the Fight Club.
Heh, I still remember posting about pro football for the first time at the Realm, almost four (wow) years ago now, nervously and hesistantly, because I was still new there and there wasn't a sports forum back then, and I thought they were all geeks who cared nothing about athletics whatsoever.
Imagine my surprise when nearly everybody I knew at the Realm contributed to that thread. Suddenly, they weren't geeks. ;D

Sounds like a good forum idea, Elliot. Though if any Man United (english footie) come along and start saying they're gonnna win it next season...well I'll have a lot to say about that! God I hate Man U fans who STILL think they're the kings of all football. Sorry, I just really love to complain about Man U. My friend (who's a Man United supporter) have extremely long arguments about who's better. ;D Chelsea, of course...

Sure, a sports forum would be great! But I wouldnt limit it to conventional sports if you know what I mean

It'd be any and all sports that don't break the 'PG-ish' forum rules, BJC

I don't know what you mean by conventional sport, BJ? Shan

conventional sports are any that are treated as official sports - unconventional sports I think BJC likely means women's mud wrestling and such that aren't treated as official...
or maybe BJC wants to meet a prostitute and experiment something with her... I don't know...

Cool, El.
Shan- Conventional are the sports you'll see big on tv....more like Rugby, Footbal, Baseball, Hockey....and on.
Unconventional- You could count track, cricket, wrestling, and on and on.

Thanks BJ. Phil, were you trying to confuse me even more (official, unofficial, conventional ) ? ;D It wouldn't take much. I am that dumb when it comes to sports. Shan
