This forum exists to allow the discussion of all aspects of pen and paper and forum based RPGs and all tabletop games, from traditional board games such as Monopoly to tabletop war games, such as Warhammer 40K.
It is NOT the right forum for computer games of any kind, even MMORPGs.
It can be used to discuss rules, ask questions about RPGs, or even to run an RPG if anyone is so inclined.

As a general note, any game that goes more than one month without a new post in its main story thread I will assume to be inactive unless informed otherwise.
An inactive GM will be removed as forum mod, and any of their threads that are pinned will be unpinned.
If the game restarts, I will re-Mod the GM as soon as they ask me to do so.
This seems like a good idea to avoid 'forum clutter' which will otherwise seem inevitable as more pinned threads accumulate.

I'd quite like to run an RPG if anyone's interested.
Anyone played Call of Cthulhu here?

I ran CoC for a short time back in the day - though not much of it. Interesting system. One of those I borrowed some basic ideas from when creating the system for Awakening, in fact

I'd be very happy to learn an in-forum system if there's one in use. I've run Champions, CoC, and various other systems with some success, but always failed at the more fantasy ones for some reason.

The system I created is in the Awakening: Game Rules thread. Obviously no-one HAS to use it, and any system that works for the GM is fine Chances are, I'll be the only person running using that system, in fact

Tihi, the DM had bought this new book for Hunter, called the slasher book. So now my character is a slasher... ;D He's an avenger, so he can always use his defence no matter how many are attacking him (the normal is that you get -1 per attack above one attack, IE the first attack=full defence, the second attack=full defence-1, the third attack=full defence-2 etc). I've also got a "feat" that means I can use pretty much everything as a melee weapon without penalty. I find a pen? I can use it. I've also got another "feat" that means that if I manage to get a sneak attack in the victim dies right away...
