Ash
The globe will certainly reach you, yes. It's less than twenty feet away, and closing quite fast.

Mao rushes silently to catch the rolling globe before it reaches close to the intersection, provided that they still don't know what there is in the passageway to the right and that the globe's light would reveal them if there was someone/thing in there - if the noise didn't already. She takes the globe and hurries to hide it in her pouch; then she turned to Ash and makes her a sign to come by.
Facing the group that stayed at the door of the room where they woke up, Mao takes the pouch with the globes, open it slightly in their direction, then moves it horizontally to signal them to hold on (and let them know they were doing ok, by the same way).

"Good thinking, Mao," said Ash. "I hope Little Sneak didn't mess up anything with that stupid globe."Think we should just keep it?" she asks with a slight grin.
Ash looks down the hallway that they had just come from wondering if there was anyone in the lighted room had heard the sound of the globe rolling down the hallway.
She then looks down the the other dark hallway and asks "Do we check it out or do we wait on Homm and Yairn?"
* E - did anyone hear the sound of the rolling globe besides our group or notice the light from it before Mao picked it up*

"Well, they seem to have found something there and to be busy investigating it; perhaps we should take some advance and scout the other passageway left. They can always catch us back when they're done here," Mao replies, whispering as low as she could. She begins to feel quite thirsty...
Quite feeling Ash's bubbling curiostity and need to move, she adds: "We should warn them if we do, before; and bring that back to Homm, they might need it. And telling them there's likely someone in the room we found may not be a bad idea either..."

"Give it back, you've got to be kidding," whispers Ash as she looks at Mao unbelievingly, "just so he can go rolling it around again. I say we keep it at least for the time being until we are finished searching the hallway. I'd rather stay alive than have him get me killed by being so noisy and rolling his glowy thing all over the place letting anybody who's around know where we are."
"I do have to admit that telling them that we heard something in the room we found might not be a bad idea since Homm likes to make alot of noise," she adds looking down the hallway where Homm and Yairn are supposedly at.
Ash looks down the right hallway, her curiousity growing more and more and then looking back where Homm and Yairn are she says hesitantly "Uh, they seem a little busy at the moment though. Maybe we shouldn't interrupt. We could just go ahead and check the other hallway and tell them everything when we get back. What do you think?"

"Come on then" Yairn whispered to Homm "Let's get back to the other two" Yairn started walking back to Ash and Mao, checking around him and checking that Homm was still with him. He still made sure his steps were silent, you just never know if anything could happen to be near.

"We..." Mao starts to reply. She sees Yairn coming by and signals it to Ash. She advances to meet farther than at the intersection so they'd be less likely to be noticed if the (whatever it may be) decided to go out or if there was someone in the corridor at the right. She thinks that it might also help Ash to concentrate if she doesn't have it in sight, even though all they could see was darkness from there.
Mao whispers as low as possible, expressing with gestures as well when Yairn is close enough to understand. "The left hallway leads to a closed door to an illuminated room; I'm quite sure there's someone in there. We couldn't see in the room and decided not to investigate further because of the risks. Did you find anything, tried to open that door? We were coming to let you know we're heading for investigating the remaing passageway, unless you need us here" she adds.

"They don't need us," whispers Ash impatiently. "Let's go. I want to see what is down the other hallway."
Ash turns and takes a few steps towards the dark hallway. She then looks back at Mao, motions for her to come with her and says "Mao, come on. They can follow us if they want, but I gotta know what is down this way."

Seeing that the other scouts don't seem to carry any new supply, Mao nods to Yairn and signals quickly that she follows Ash in the right passageway. She signals to Ash to go on, then follows her behind as they did in the previous corridor.
"Be careful & watch for anything, eh?" she feels the need to remind Ash, seeing her so eager.

Ash looks at Mao and grins. "You got it," she says. She then looks at Yairn and Homm and says softly "You can come too if you want. You can be our back up," she adds smiling mischievously at Homm. "But no globe and no noise, or else...."
She then looks at Mao and says "Be prepared for anything. We have no idea what he might have stirred up with that globe," she adds glancing over at Homm.
Motioning for Mao to follow, Ash takes a few steps and then reaches down and places her hand on the floor and after a moment or two she runs her hand over the floor and then moves to the wall. Quietly she lets her hand and her foot be her guide. Slowly she works her way down the hallway taking special care and not making a sound. Would there be any traps down this one. She had to make sure. There hadn't been any in the others but that didn't mean there would be none in this one. She ran her hand along the walls feeling for anything unusual and feeling the floor for anything strange.
Ash concentrates on what she is doing trusting Mao to let her know if there is any sign of trouble from behind.
*E - can Ash determine how long the hallway is and does she find anything unusual (any traps, another door, another passage, any light, or anyone or anything) *

Ash
There are no traps you can find, and the corridor is possibly the same length as the one to the left, though it's hard to tell in the darkkness. There is no light, and the corridor ends in what is possibly a door.

Mao follows Ash as silently as she could, close to the wall to be hidden better should the being suspected to be on the room on the other side decide to go out, and she takes care to remain in Ash's tracks, a few feet behind, guarding their back at the same time. This corridor seems symetric to the one they explored earlier, and seems to end by a door too. (Elliot; was the room they woke up in shaped like a kind of rectangle? If so, was the door on a larger side of it or a shorter? And was it in the middle?)
Once they reach the "door"(?), if nothing happens in between, Mao lets Ash check if it's trapped and observes, listens, smells, tries to feel any air draft or temperature change.

Mao
It's a door, and all is quiet & dark within. No air stirs. You do smell a quite strong scent, though - something that might be some kind of rotted vegetation...
The room you woke up in was pretty enormous, and rectangular. The door was on one of the shorter sides, and slightly to the left of centre.

To Rasidar: "If its ok with you while the others are busy checking out what lays ahead, i'm going to check where we've already been in case we've missed something".
EK: Assuming Rasidar agrees Sim will begin checking the floor and walls for anything strange.
EK: How smooth are the walls? can you climb them? if so she will also check the ceiling.

"Something stinks," whispers Ash to Mao. "Smells kinda like rotting food or something like that. Before we decide whether to use a globe or not for light, let me check the door out."
Ash runs her hands over the door still not willing to light up the corridor with the globe at least not just yet.
She feels for some kind of handle or switch that might open the door and if she can tell what the door is made of. She also runs her fingers along the bottom of the door and up each side trying to determine if there is a crack between the bottom of the door or along the sides. She also feels to see if there are any hinges and if there are if they feel rusted or smooth.
Then putting her ear up against the door, Ash listens to see if she can hear any sounds going on inside the room.
She then looks at Mao and says "Do you think we should use a globe to investigate the door more? We could leave it in the pouch and try to shine it just on the door."
*E - can Ash determine what the door is made of? Does she feel a handle that would open the door? Can Ash feel any cracks around the door or hinges on the door and what they feel like? Can Ash hear anything when she places her ear against the door?
Can a globe in a pouch be used kinda like a low beam flashlight?*

Sim
The walls are smooth, and you will have trouble climbing them without equipment. There is nothing you can find in the room that has not already been detected.
Ash
Wooden door with handle, just like the last. The hinges are, presumably, on the other side. No sound can be heard from within. The cracks around the door are wide enough that you would expect light to be emitted if there was any in the room.
If you are very careful, you can try to use the pouch to direct the glow from a Light Globe yes. It won't be exactly reliable, though.

"Rotting vegetals... well, well, it seems we've found either the food or apothecary storage; in any case, it's good" Mao whispers, smiling. "I just hope it's not all spoiled... and that the door is not locked. Can you check that?" she adds, searching for a lock on the door. At the same time, she tries to determinate if the door would be noisy to open, if it would rub on something when one opens it. She also looks up to see if there is a globe over the door/on the ceiling.
*Mao's answer depends on what they are actually able to see in that darkness; if they can distinguish at least the shapes, she says it's not necessary. Otherwise, she takes her pouch containing the globes, places herself to hide the glow from behind and opens the pouch of a slight crack. She places her hand left to make a kind o visor to try to restrict the glow from spreading widely and directs it on the door, trying to avoid the cracks, and over.*
Once it's done, if nothing happens, she whispers to Ash: "Time to report our findings, if you're ready."

Mao
That'll work with the light, yes. You won't be able to tell how easily the door will open without at least turning the handle - which I'm assuming you're not, yet. There is a completely dead globe above the door. There is a lock, but whether the door is actually locked or not you do not know.
