Leim stop short as he looked at the lady. “I am Leim Day’Storm and I want to know what one thing…” he got his nose right against hers. ”What color are my eyes? Cause if they aren’t green I am going find the guy running this fun house and kick his ass.” his noise twitch as he talked (if his eyes are the same as before he woke the would be a wild bright green.)
He looked down the corridor behind her and growl. ”How many people are up and about from the amber sleep? They all half naked girls like you? “ He darted past her before she could say anything to him in to the next room. “What is this place some new prison or something?”

Rasidar & Everyone
"Of course," Zumir replies, obviously puzzled. "It is Runeday the third of Hanover, in the year 1537. Did you not know?"
Thiis comes as quite a shock to you all, considering that the youngest of you believe the year to be closer to 1400... And the oldest of you, who would be Rasidar, thinks it should be 521...

Rasidar blinks in surprise, uncertain of how to take this. He looks to the others.
"What date was it, the last you recall?" Rasidar asks the others. "For last I recall, `twas the year 521..."
He could not bring himself to believe what he'd heard. Could he truly be over a thousand years old? It seemed like a nightmare to him. But he somehow knew that this must be what had happened.
Rasidar resolved to find out what happened to the Order. Was the knighthood still around and strong? If it was, he knew he needed to discover the truth. If not, it was his duty to uphold the Order's teachings and carry on the traditions of a proper knight...
But more, he needed to know what happened to Callie. If she was in stasis, she could still be alive. But if not... she could well be long dead. He shrugged off the fear in his heart at the thought of losing her...
"We must understand why this has happened," Rasidar said finally. "What has happened to us, and the world outside. `Tis much we need to know."

Homm hears others are talking to him yet he does not pay attention as he is still busy taking in the sights. he takes a full breath in. remarkable! no smell!
when his ears catches Zumir's words, he turns around & look at Zumir, "and so, some time has passed yet this host has not expired," his hands pointing at himself. "how convenient," he smiles with a cold stare.
he turns back to the demon & walks towards it. when he arrives just outside of the pentagram, he touches the circle; rubbing his fingers on it & brings it to his nose to smell & then he tastes it.
(EK - how does it feel like? powder-like? any smell? what taste?)
"must be quite a feast for ennui. i wonder if my lord enjoyed this?" he says quite clearly in an amusing tone.

Homm
The pentagram was enscribed into the floor with some kind of metal alloy. It looks a lot like gold, but doesn't feel like it.
(Cedric would know it is a special metal used for magecraft, and called Wizard's Gold. it's pretty rare as the process for making it is quite complex)

Cedric comes to the conclusion that the door to the djinn's room would blend perfectly into the wall and no trace of an opening device is visible. "So, if there were survivors, they may have left to explore another route, or retreated entirely." he thinks.
When he overhears Zumir telling the date, he is stupefied. A memory of himself preparing for the turn of the millenium flashes through his mind.
He sees Homm entering and investigating the pentagram. He kneels at his side and also gently strokes over the remains of metal alloy once forming the pentagram. Astonished, he raises an eyebrow. "That's wizard gold! The quantity used to form this would have bought a world - it's rare, very rare, and extremely difficult to make. It's not the gold itself, but the ingredients to make the alloy - and of course the magic energy necessary to mould and form it. See," he says to Homm, "it would have to be cast absolutely seemleess, in one piece. An astonishing feat, unheard of in my world and times!"

Mao feels completely distabilized by what Zumir and Rasidar said. "763," she says softly, frowning.
Does that mean that everyone she knew was long dead? Her family? Her friends? What did the lands she guarded and travelled upon with so much love become? How could this have happened, it's not in the order of things...
Questions overflow Mao's mind, exhacerbating that feeling of oppression she has since she woke up and stressing her more and more. Feeling like she needs to move, do something to swallow that pill, take some distance and sort her thoughts out, she goes into the pentagram room after Homm, to keep a worried eye on him and see by herself what's there. Her lips tightly pursed, she cheks the human rests damaged beyond recognition. She then examinates the big demon closely, to see if he wears/carries something, if she could determinate the nature of the injuries he has and maybe find what killed him...

"Sorry, Mr. Soldier Guy, he won't talk to me. He's acting really strange though kinda like he is talking to someone who isn't here. Do you think he's crazy?" asks Ash looking back at Homm who has this wierd look on his face. "I can try again later if you want me to."
***************
Ash is standing in the doorway looking at what is going on in the demon room when she sees Scim pick up a piece of the demon and head her way. A shocked look crosses her face. "Oooooooooooooo," she storms as she gets madder and madder. She then takes off into the room over to where Rasidar is as she calls "That's not fair, Mr. Knight. I asked first and you wouldn't let me. How come she gets to touch it and even gets a piece of it and I don't? You're not being fair," she pouts as she stands there staring hard at him.
*************************
"Uh, what?" exclaims Ash. "What did you just say? 1537........ no way. That would mean I am.................. No way. There is no way I can be that old. I'd be older than ancient if that's true." She stands there shocked, staring at Zu. "How can...... what could...... what should......" wonders Ash shaking her head trying to make what she has just heard make sense.
*Ash assumes now that Mr. Knight is going to let her finally touch the demon or at least he better. ;D *
Ash smiles as Rasidar gives her his OK. All thoughts of him not being fair or letting Scim touch the demon before her were soon forgotten as she walks over to the demon, kneels down beside it, and pokes it with her finger to see if it moves at all.......... It looked dead, but she had learned that sometimes there was still a little life left in animals even when they were thought to be dead.
After satisfying her curosity as to whether it was really dead or not, she runs her fingers over it and wonders how if felt being attacked and how if felt knowing that it was going to die. It seemed as if the demon was caught by the pentagram and had no way of escaping its attackers. "That's terrible," she thinks as a tear escapes her eye as she remember an animal she had found caught in a trap back home."
"Home, what home," she thinks remembering what Zu had said about it being 1541. "You were taken from your home never to see it again too, weren't you?" she says softly as she strokes it gently.
After a few moments of just watching it and running her hand softly over it, Ash searches the demon and close around it to see if she finds anything that might be of use to them or anything that might give them a clue as to why it belonged there or where it was from.
*E - what does the demon feel like? does ash find any kind of clues or anything that might be of use to them on or close to the demon*

Mao & Ash
Your skin crawls at contact with the demon. It's very touch feels wrong, and some part of you screams a warning inside that this thing is evil beyond your ability to comprehend. Dead or not, the thing reeks of the charnel house, and an unholy lust to destroy.
It has clearly been brought down by many wounds which have cut into its hide, each leaving a strange whitish burn in the beast's dark flesh. You find other wounds, too - clearly made by spells. From the way the creature is lying, it is probable that it succumbed to its wounds rather than falling to a single mortal strike.
Careful examination reveals a single snow-white arrow deeply embedded in the back of its shoulder - something that would easily be missed by a less thorough examination than your own.
Mao would know from her study of alchemy that both demon blood (ichor) and ground demon tooth have their uses in making potions.

Ash slowly removes her hand from the demon as she feels the evil from it creep over her. "You may be evil," she thinks, "but in a way I feel sorry for you. What made you so evil? What must your world have been like for you to emit such evil, evil that I don't understand, evil that wants to consume me and take over my soul, evil that goes way beyond just being bad. What kind of life can that have been?"
"An arrow, a snow white arrow," says Ash when she spots it and she reaches out and places her hand on it leaning over to look at it more closely. "Mr. Knight, come here," she calls excitedly. "You just gotta see this. Someone shot him with an arrow, a white arrow. If I can get it out, can I keep it?"
*E - has ash ever seen an arrow like this before. from close examination can she tell anything about it or the wound that it made *

Given your background, you likely would recognise it, yes. The arrow is elven.

"Mao, did you see this," asks Ash pointing to the arrow. "I think it was made by elves. I wonder if some of these bodies were once elves."
***********
"Mr. Knight, the white arrow, it is elven. Do you think the intruders were elves or at least part of them? Maybe the arrow is a clue, a way of finding out who the intruders might have been and why they came here."

Mao feels overflowed by the emanations of the evil creature and removes her hand from it as soon. Powerful being it was, and it might not be a broken body that would kill its essence... The violence and strenght she felt leaves her with a strong feeling of humility towards her condition as well as with some pity for the demon despite the fundamental repulsion it triggered on her.
"These wounds must have been made by some magical weapons," Mao says to Ash, showing her the whitish burns on some. "And these are likely made by spells of some sort... Rasidar, Cedric, can you tell anything about it?" she calls at them. (Or Elliot, can Mao deduct anything of it?)
While examinating the demon's wounds, a flash crosses her mind. The blood and teeth of this demon are valuable components to use in potions...
"An arrow, a snow white arrow," says Ash, interrupting Mao's thoughts. While Ash calls at Rasidar, Mao kneels beside her to observe it and the wound it did. When Ash tells her it is elven, Mao replies: "We might ask Zumir, maybe he could tell... ?"
(BTW, Elliot, GL wrote that Rasidar had no idea about the emblem on the badge or the identity of the "intruders"; is it something you would have said if he did, or may it be that he forgot to ask you?)
"I'd be able to use the demon's blood and teeth to make potions," Mao says to the others. "Could you help me gathering it? Do you think I could use a skin to get of his blood?" (Elliot?) Mao takes a blanket strip, one of the purses that are containing the golbes and the glass shard, and tries to extract the demon's teeths (taking care to touch the demon as less as possible).

Rasidar regards Mao with concern, and finally nods. He does not like the sound of this.
"`Tis a wrongness in this," Rasidar says finally. "`Twould seem that we have been plucked from different ages of time. I appear to be the eldest of us, so `tis certain this has gone on for a millenium and more at the least. Though `tis no certainty, since others yet slumbering may be still older than I.
"`Twould also suggest to me that the architect of our misfortune may be greatly ancient. Perhaps a mage of power who knows of some craft to extend his life unnaturally. I know of other possibilities, none of which set my mind at ease. In any case, if we have crossed the span of ages, no doubt the wizard has as well. I like this not."
Rasidar gives her a perplexed look. He can tell that she feels pain, but doesn't quite understand why. He must have offended her without intending to do so.
He knows protecting her from the demon was an honorable thing... but yet part of him feels regret for causing Ash pain, even unintentionally. Whether out of shared circumstance, or his own protective feelings towards Ash, he knows he should resolve this...
"She touched the creature before I gave her leave to do so," Rasidar says regretfully. "I sought to protect you from the evil of the fiend. `Twas not my intent to slight you, or cause you pain. Since she had already touched the beast without harm, I granted her leave. I meant not to appear unfair to you."
Rasidar breathes in slowly, trying to find the words to express himself. He does not want to hurt Ash further. He knows she has been hurt far more than she deserved. To awaken in here, alone, with perhaps her entire world gone. He feels all the more driven to help her, if only because he knows she needs a friend...
"I apologize if `twas the impression I gave you," he tells her finally. "I... do not always express myself well. If I have done you wrong, I shall do my best to make amends. Since Scimitar has touched the fiend unharmed, `tis safe for you to handle it with my leave. Just handle it with utmost care."
Rasidar follows Ash as she approaches the demon, if only to keep her safe. Even after Scimitar's experiment, he still did not trust the unholy fiend...
Rasidar nods in agreement. Not the least because he doesn't want to disappoint her again...
"Aye, you may," Rasidar says. "You are among the best qualified to use it, in any event. Or shall be, should we find a proper bow for your use."
"`Tis possible..." Rasidar says, shrugging uncertainly. "A demon of flame would be no friend of the Fair Ones. Though I can guess not their purpose here, if elves indeed they were. Perhaps `tis a blessed weapon of some sort? A blessed arrow could perhaps slay such a fiend..."
(El, does the arrow appear to be holy in any way that Rasidar can tell?)

Rasidar nods, and examines the burns, to see if there is any damage left by magic. (Forgot to ask. In any case, I'm examining it to see if I recognize it now. )

MaoThe white burns are not an area you are familiar with; or you may simply have forgotten. Either way, you are not sure what would cause them. You can gather the demon teeth quite handily, but all the skins have been used for either ale or green goo, IIRC. Even if they were empty, ideally you'd want glassware of some kind... As for the badge - yes, Steve needs to ask unless it's something so blindingly obvious he'd know it without thinking about it - like, say, the badge of his own order of knights RasidarThe badge is unfamiliar to you. The arrow is still mostly buried - and in a demon at that. It is hard to tell if it is holy or not. You do recognise the white burns as being made by Holy Fire. There is a way to temporarily make weapons burn with such a flame that was known to your order. Frequently it was the only way to destroy rampaging demons and the like.

(Sorry, my mistake. I kind of rushed through that post. ) Rasidar looks up and turns to Mao. "`Tis the mark of Holy Fire," Rasidar tells her. "`Tis... `twas a method known to the Order to strengthen our weapons with Holy Fire. `Tis a means we often employed to combat unholy creatures such as this." Rasidar attempts pulls out the arrow. If this succeeds, he'll examine it closely.
